Re: Membership Packs
Got our cards on Monday and all three (gold and silver) have the same type of My St Kilda photos and "more than a football club" on it. It also has your first name's St kilda above your member status (silver,gold).mcadam05 wrote:Do players feature on the cards like last year?

I work near Arden Street and saw Dal out on the oval having photos taken. It was a bit hard to take seeing him in the blue North shirt.

Re: Live Best and Fairest updates
Terrific night. The tributes to the three retirees was the highlight. I can't wait to get some time to read my copy of the "Strength through Loyalty - 140 years" hardback edition I stole from my table. I am keeping mine in mint condition by not opening it. Especially because Jack signed t...

Re: MCG ? You can stick that where the sun don't shine.
Wilson's Book a Bay is a great deal. $8.50 to park in the city or Eureka. Walk takes about 15 mins. Better than MCG car park where you have to wait to get out which takes more than 15 mins. Will never park in the MCG again!

I remember going to Vic Park as a teenager and was waiting for some friends after the game when a woman with what looked to be her grandchildren, came up to me and made a disgusting remark about the flag I was holding in my hand. Never forgotten it. Hate Collingwood.

Re: Wellington 2014
We went from the Wednesday to the Sunday. Flew both ways via Auckland which was the cheapest when we decided to go. Loved Wellington. Lovely city and if you are into Lord of the Rings then definitely do a tour. It takes you to the filming sites they used around Wellington. Great way to see the count...

Re: The Day Nicky Winmar took a stand (The Age)
My son's English teacher used this article in their Year 9 class today. The book they are reading is about aboriginal racism and the teacher used the Winmar incident as an example. We watched the last quarter on You tube when he came home from school and I told him what it was like to go to a game a...

As we would be coming from the northern suburbs, should we just park near the footy ground and walk to the foreshore? Not familiar with the foreshore area.tony74 wrote:March 10. Frankston foreshore. Really good choice being from the wonderful suburb of Frankston myself.

Re: Intra-Club Date/Time confirmed..
Should be played at Moorabbin where our fans are. Of course it should be. Most of our footy gang would be there if it was at Moorabbin, but not in Frankston. Moving so far away is a big loss of footy culture for many people. We live in Essendon and will be going. All the way on Eastlink takes aroun...

Re: Where is everyone staying in Wellington?? Recommendation
I booked last week and can tell you that accommodation is getting hard to find for the 24th and 25th. Although I did book for 4 people. Also our sale price for flights through Qantas has now gone. You should decide soon.

Not when the traffic is back to Bulla Road from Mickleham Road. Snails pace all the way. Better learn the backstreets of Airport West and Gladestone Park.Spinner wrote:Halo wrote:I think I would rather go to Seaford than Tullamarine !!!!
Tullamarine is closer to the city. 15mins on citylink.

Lucky to be going this year as normally we are away the first week of October. Just wondering from anyone who has gone previously, is it worth parking at Central Pier for $20 valet parking or is Etihad ok distance wise?

Re: Carlton Supporters are the worst
We used to sit up on level 3 at Etihad about 5 years ago until my son and I went to a game against Carlton. He was about 6 or 7 years old and was sitting next to a man in his twenties who was ripping into Riewoldt. Disgusting language so I asked him to if he could stop the language and I got a mouth...
