Re: Saints planning post season- altitude camp
I'm not sure how long the boys are going for yet but a 2-3 week training camp at high altitude is very unlikely to significantly pact their aerobic capacity. The overseas trip to a new place with a lot of young guys and the team bonding and strength from. Within the club however will be a massive ad...

LATE CHANGES
Gold Coast: Nil
St Kilda: Farren Ray replaced in selected side by Raphael Clarke, Jason Cripps replaced in selected side by Adam Schneider
Maybe Jamie's still in then?

Re: any late changes ?
The thing that annoys me is that if there is a late change, either Raph or Schneids will probably be brought in and played as the sub. It seems Scott's way of thinking, and although I'd love to see Sipposs or someone get a full game, I'm not sure if particularly Raph would be able to show a big impa...

Mini not 100%?
I love Mcqualter as a footballer and especially last year he showed us what he can do in a damaging "forward pressure" role, I always thought he would end up making his way to the midfield but as everyone has been saying he definatly hasn't been in as good form. I remember hearing about hi...

I have no idea whatsoever why people want Mcqualter dropped? Steven is probably the most overrated player on this forum and Mcqualter is absolutely miles ahead of him. Mcqualter isnt there to kick a massive bag of goals a game, he's there to pressure and tackle and use the ball well as he normally ...

Yeah Armo was average-ish up until around 3 quarter time, but absolutely blew the game wide open in the last, his hardness at the ball is seriously incredible. Not sure if i agree about Geary, he was hard at it on a few occasions but you expect that from everyone- would have been in the bottom 5 or ...

I'm not a Raph basher, but I do watch the footy with an open mind. Yes Fisher lead his opponent into Raph's path, but Raph's awareness was woeful, and his game in the GF was woeful. I reckon ppl get overly defensive about Raph, b/c other ppl are ready to blame Raph for every bloody mistake out on t...

Some creative selection ideas. Doubt we'll see Goddard as full time FF (and would be opposed to it), but wouldn't be at all surprised to see Fisher at CHF most of the game. My efforts to read the tealeaves inside Lyon's head: For R5+, it's going to be pretty straightforward, Kosi get's first bite a...

If Raph was BOG today then I'd say IN: Raph OUT: Reiwoldt. Allowing Goddard or Fisher to play forward. If Ross sticks to his usual style I think we'll see as little change to the team as possible, which could mean Stanley being brought in for a direct replacement for Reiwoldt meaning fish/ goddard c...

Mcqualter has been great for us this year i reckon! his night tonight wasnt his best but his tackling and hardness at the ball as well as great forward pressure was still good tonight and have been up there with in the best at the saints.. Good young player who puts his head over the ball and will o...
