Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)

I've been coming on here since the early days around 2002 but enough is enough. Time's up for me. But when the likes of valuable contributors sych as Tony74 and Jaxons have been driven away, you have to ask yourself what's the point? I've enjoyed many insightful and witty posts over the years but th...

I'm struggling to see how we can win the flag unless we also play at least 3 games a year in NZ.

Re: Nathan Brown- opinions please

I'm certainly hoping he'll allow our side greater flexibility so some of the other guys can get off the chain a bit more.

Seems a decent honest player and a good bloke to me. Should fit in well if he can play that role.

Re: Match Thread v Power JLT Round 1

Pathetic - based on that a long year Midfield a worry - Ross Dunstan Stevens Armo all in the same side won't do it for us. Can see why Stevens did not play many games for the other 2 clubs he was at Newnes for a good kick turns it over more than most Dunno which game you were watching, but I though...

Some players just belong... he is one of those Some players just look comfortable at that level of training ... he is smooth, clean and runs to the right spots instinctively. Only thing that needs to be tested now is whether or not he likes the physical stuff... if he ticks that box. I'd put him do...

Hickey did not do any running at training today... but competed in the ruck in midfield drills Nor did Paddy Training was very light, and just some game sense stuff. Very apparent what positions the club sees the players playing. The backs Deep - Dempster, Gilbert, Carlisle, Joyce, Brown, Geary, Ri...

The guy is a well handy pick up IMO.

Not a world beater, but will go a long way to bolstering our team balance and giving us a more solid core to build on.
He was well liked by the younger players at the Doggies, according to a mate of mine who's a mad keen Doggies supporter.

Dunstan was given Lenny's number for good reason. Do you really think Lenny would give his number to a flog? Lenny was all class and all character. Re: Six of the Hardest (violent) 10 men of AFL/VFL are saint

Joffa Cunningham was highly underrated for his toughness externally but certainly not within the club!!!!! Joffa was a hardarse!!!!# He certainly was, but I reckon his team mate Greg Burns was one of the hardest, toughest players I've ever seen. Never took a backward step or ducked or dived. Nobody...

Re: Membrey... The new Jake Stringer?

I also think that due to his size and appearance a lot of people assume he's more established than he actually is, and may forget the fact that he's only played 24 games. It's been a breakout season for Tim and also for Seb and big Tom Hickey too - so satisfying to see these guys come on + the gene...

Re: Win tomorrow and we are 2 games out of the 8

Last 7 games - my take: Possible wins in final 7 games. V Melbourne at Etihad - Yes - the hoodoo continues. V Bulldogs at Etihad - No. V North at Etihad - no, we haven't beaten them since 2011 - they're losing to good sides but they'll get over us. V Carlton at MCG - Yep. Probably. Not by as much a...

I'm pretty sure the Hawks supporters weren't sooking about squeaking home against us earlier this year by 3 points - and they're the reigning premiers! Re: Tony 74, What's up with Billings?

Is he injured, out of form, ahead of himself, down on form/confidence, does he want to be there? Been down for a while now. Anyone on the inside know if there's anything going on? I think he has been just going from the onset. I understand he is only 20-21 and still developing but there is a reason...
