Re: 2000+: The Humiliation and Significance of the Wooden Sp
Early draft picks are important as part of any rebuild but if you think that's the panacea for all ills then why aren't Melbourne premiers and why are GC doing poorly with a team chock full of early draft picks. There are many factors like senior leaders, good recruiting from all areas, good coachin...

Re: Round 3 team. Schneider in Curren out
Schneider deserves his spot and will be great influence on the younger guys. Playing more kids doesn't equate to improving the team as a whole. We need to set an example to the younger guys about demanding a spot and just because you are a high draft pick doesn't mean you're an automatic selection....

Re: Round 3 team. Schneider in Curren out
This isn't just about player development. This is the big stage and it's important how we are seen by the whole country, everyone will be watching us and how we equip ourselves . We need sponsors supporters and everyone on the bandwagon regardless of where we are at on the ladder. Go Schnieds..go sa...

Re: 2000+: The Humiliation and Significance of the Wooden Sp
The concept of rebuilds is in full swing. No such thing in the 80's. Teams are either in their window, approaching the window or they are the window - if not they are in rebuild. Wooden spoon is rarely used any more tbh perhaps by the old brigade or a journo wanting to stick the knife in. What abou...

One of the elite GWS mids.

On Sandy form and amount of pre-season games the only 2 you'd think would be Minch and Eli.
I'll go Minch for Saad

Re: Some Perspective
I think we should all just stop posting because clearly making comments on a comment based forum makes people as mad as hell...and they're not going to take it!!
What a laugh commenting that others comments are not up to it.....

Re: Friday night
Felix said : A Collingwoodwood mate said Adams and Pendles both went for scans and there is a possibility neither will play....that would be good . Also, Sinclair (HB), did a hammy on the weekend. I didn't hear about that. Is he ok. He is going to be a good player. We cant afford to lose that type....

Re: Some Perspective
I think 47 years as a saints supporter gives me plenty of perspective and I get what Tony's saying but I don't think going into a winnable game with some enthusiasm is cause for alarm. If we get beat then we get beat as long as the effort is there, but I watch every week with the hope of victory. I'...

Re: Josh Bruce has gone mad.
The impact is short term and long term. Did it affect the outcome of the game? or did they score a goal as a direct result? No. Did it fire up the GWS players? Doubt it. Does an act like that from a player that was clearly one of the dominant forces in the game at that minute have an impact on the S...

Re: Thugg Bugg cleared
Don't know about the corruption theories but the interpretation of "accidental" would seem a little lenient given the impact. Actually I'm not sure that the use of accidental is even appropriate give no one knows what he was thinking Tribunal should steer clear of interpreting intension al...

It'll certainly be an interesting day at the footy. If both Monty and Roo play it could be an interesting contest without them we may need some divine intervention.

Re: Team v GWS
Don't know what the disappointment about Acres non selection is. From the preseason he looked at best slow with some skill and pretty average decision making. Correct me if I'm wrong but which game did he demand selection? Here's another question...if he was taken at pick 78 would people be still di...
