Re: Zebs Board thinking about cutting ties to Saints...

Zebs will go bust if they ditch us, but we can't afford our own VFL side either. This is just another tactic by them to try and dictate to us how many Zebs players play each week. Hopefully we will hold them to ransom and stand our ground. That is incorrect. It's all to do with the scrapping of the...

I went to school with Vicki Broughton from Young Talent Time

Peter Bell who played 30 odd games for St Kilda in the 70's

And Lea Parker who married Dennis Goodrem and had a daughter who could sing a bit

We were all in the same class at some stage I think

Re: Who is going to Friday Intra Club?

Hopefully the beer stand is open. There will be 2 open as I'm helping man one of them. I don't think the social club will be open as St Kilda have booked it out for a function at least that's what I've heard Also if you're coming, be careful where you park as the parking officers will be there in f...

Re: Sandringham news and reviews 2014

TBBO will not be ready for first home game next month. Have not even started retaining wall and railing at southern end. Apparently Bayside Council cannot make up their mind how much they want to spend. $10,000 or $150,000! It's going to be a race against time to have it finished..training starts a...

Re: Sandringham vs Richmond Practice Game Friday 6pm

would this have been classed as a VFL game? print media reporting next weeks game- also a 'practice' match would be the first VFL/AFL game at the ground-- so guess Sandringham has beaten Essendon to the punch... Good point...it was organised at very short notice so I'm not sure if it has bee...

Re: Sandringham vs Richmond Practice Game Friday 6pm

For a game where there supposed to be no spectators...there were at least 2-300 people at the game... The Punt Road facility is first class and well done to Richmond for letting the Sandy and Saints players use their pool after the game...still a lot of work to be done in front of the old Grandstand...

As far as I can tell, 2106 will be the time when both teams stand alone...Moorabbin has to be upgraded to a minimum standard for spectators...I assume the surface is still ok there.. .. that's a long wait--- I did the same yesterday- was waiting for 2104.... it's a shame it hasn't worked well- as t...

what was ur view of the old coaches attitude Zeb? just curious Lyon didn't attend all that many games...the ones he did he would have a quick chat to a Saints listed player at 1/4 or 3/4 time...sometimes wouldn't say anything at all..I can only talk about away games as I was in the scoreboard at ho...

i know you q was directed at bm...but personally i don't think those type of alignments can ever work to the satisfaction...complete or otherwise...of either party......stand alone teams are the only way to go imho..... Why sign up for another 2 years, under sandy's conditions, why aren't we pushing to field a stand alone VFL side. What sort of player development is that where the VFL club dictates what goes on at the VFL club. Lucky we've got the Academy. How is the Academy going BTW... Yep..sandy have really bug...

Re: Sandy partnership in trouble- Capt abandons ship?

Marigliani was at Sandy for 3 years and unfortunately at least half of that time he was out injured...this year Adam Cockie was captain for most of the matches..

The makeup of the competition will be interesting come 2016...with Richmond, Bulldogs and St Kilda all having their own reserves team

Re: Sandy partnership in trouble- Capt abandons ship?

What hes actually saying is some of the st kilda listed players are s***. Which is true. Clearly 'alignment' itself isnt as issue as show by Box HIll wiing the flag in a play off v Geelong. So the issue isnt the alignment - its just the quality of the St Kilda listed players playing for Sandy. Some...

Which side of the alleged rift does Pelchen sit. Last I heard the playing group didn't like Pelchen much ( which is OK , it makes it easier to live with hard decisions if the guy they work with daily is not directly to blame ). In the St Kilda hierarchy setup , doesn't Watters report to Pelchen?..m...
