Ian Synman's Guernsey

Today I got a sneak peek at the new Australian Jewry display at the Australian Jewish Museum on Alma Rd. It's not open for a few weeks but as I'm a teacher i got a preview. It's not necessarily a large exhibition but my eyes were immediately drawn to the red, white and black in a case in the corner....

If Ross Had Signed....

If Ross had signed on for another 4 years where do we think we would be come 2013? Does anyone truly believe we would have a crack next year? Personally I am not convinced. We did not beat Geelong, Collingwood or Hawks this year and unless we raised our skill level dramatically I am certain that nex...

For me, the RL philosophy is summed up with Farren Ray - he came to us a free running outside player with flair - he is now a "run with shut down" player. He came to us as a high draftpick outside player who was cut from a list. He was considered soft. His efforts last night were outstand...

They are haters. That is why I cant stand them. They do not go to support their team but to scream abuse at anyone who is not one of their own.

Have always thought this. And the ideas make so much sense. After the top ten drafts picks can be a bit of lottery. Schneider, Farren, Peake, King, Dawson, even Pattison and Dempster. They play a role and we got them cheap. I remember Bomber sneering at how we were a club that filled it's list with ...

His set shot is a beauty and his second efforts are really getting up there for a real big fella.

I'm sniffing leadership at some point. Just seems that sort of cat.

I happen to know that there a some serious family reasons why he has left. I won't go into them here. The reason I posted this was to assure that it was certainly not a falling out with Ross or players. As for leaving us midway through a season well sometimes family is more important.

If this doesn't go through I've no problem with Ball coming back on a lower wage. Put your head down, arse up, work hard, shut up and maybe you'll get a game. As for letting him go through to the PSD surely we would like something rather than nothing? Let's not let spite get in the way of good busin...

Deep down (or not) we all have known for the last few years that he was probably never going to recapture the form of years past. (I have the same feeling about Goose but lets leave that for another post.) Next season we will have a ready made replacement in in Armo who I reckon will give us at leas...

What I'm saying is that finishing first should count for something. Who benefits more from us playing at the G. Us or the pies?

Great isn't it we are top of the ladder to get a home advantage in the finals but have to go to Collingwood's home ground for th final worng I suppoes the good thing is we will get to play again there. Maybe we should have it at etihad and 40,000 miss out and we get one less game at the G to practi...

A good point and one I think that adds to the verdict against Max. All sentiment aside he is not, on current form, in our best 22 and now that the match committee have realised we cannot play so many talls in defence he will struggle to be included in finals. Unpleasant I know but if he was still on...

Thats basically our best 22 minus CJ and Mini. Im guessing Armo comes out, unless he keeps getting 20+ touches....who else is the unlucky bastard? Dawson or CJ doesn't come back in or Dempster misses: probably least likely, but possible I'm sorry Dawson? Please tell me I'm missing the sarcasm.
