2009 draft picks
Can someone fill me in on the agreement with the Gold Coast team getting heaps of draft picks.
Is it good timing that we're going to be finishing high up the ladder anyway or is this the last year to snatch up some young guns before GC do?
cheers

Will Rooey play v lions?
There is talk of him returning next week...how likely/unlikely is this?
We desperately need him against the lions but I doubt they would rush him back and risk long-term damage?

IMO These players give a sufficient effort and you can't ask too much more of them: Clint Jones, Nick Riewoldt, Luke Ball, Adam Schneider, Shane Birss, Lenny Hayes, Leigh Montagna, Robert Harvey, Sam Fisher. ---Many, if not all, could improve in other areas but at least they put in some effort. IMO ...

vic saints v all-star saints??
its a while away but just thinking of some possibilities: sam fisher on reiwoldt? dal up against lenny? although they could simply match up in an intra-club match, like at training, you'd imagine they would be trying harder in this game. i wonder if benny cousins could play in the game. don't be sup...

a great game from maxy. if kosi converted more of his chances he wouldve kicked a bag and been bog. rooey tried hard and was double-teamed by bolton and leo barry so he did well under the circumstances. if raph clarke isn't dropped ross lyon isn't the right man for the job. thought L.fisher's game w...

I agree that Banger is under-rated in terms of greats of the modern-era but there is one big exception: the umpires rate him as high as anyone, if anything he's overrated by them. the guy is a polling freak come brownlow night. Tyson Edwards is a super footballer. When can you recall him making All-...

Most under-rated players
hey fellas, Since there was a topic for the most over-rated players, I thought there might as well be a more positive forum for the more under-rated players. when you name a player, it would help if you cld provide a brief justification. Il start it off: campbell brown - many would disagree but IMO ...

Two main factors: injuries AND Geelong! Having a relatively injury-free season will bring us up to potentially second or third from ninth in 2007. Geelong having some key injuries could see us at a level playing field with them; anyone who thinks us at our best is as good or better than geelong at t...

Thanks for the replies (I didn't know Walls picked him to actually win the brownlow - I would've thought there are other players like Bartel with a mugh higher chance, i only bet on dal because of the odds). But my bigger question was, which I'm hoping someone can answer, why do you think he goes th...

yea, forgot to mention that he is a proven vote-getter and plays every week. In terms of other players stealing votes off him, the brownlow has shown itself to be a midfielders medal so I'm not concerned about rooey starring and dal santo certainly attracts more attention than lenny n luke ball. If ...

Can Dal win the Brownlow??
hey guys, I have put money on our classiest player to win the big one (before the preseason when his odds were 26:1 as oppose to now, 15:1) because with Luke n lenny supporting him more this yr I think he's in for a massive year and we will win many more games so there will be more votes available f...
