Butler earned a free kick, and was not only denied but penalized. He should be able to take his free kick as a carryover to commence our next game

Re: season 1998 footage query
It was a terrible end to the season. I was in Queensland on holidays with my kids and went to the Round 22 loss to Brisbane in Brisbane. We drove home via Sydney and went to the loss to Sydney in the first week of the finals. By the following week I was back in Melbourne and went to the loss to Melb...

Re: Saints 2023 membership deals
Why do you think St Kilda went from a struggling pathetic number of members in 2019 to an extremely successful record number over the last 3 years? Maybe do you think it might have been influenced by the number of free memberships the club gave away, through existing members, to thank them for havi...

Re: AFLW Does anyone really care?
It’s a farce at AFL level that doesn’t pay its way and is propped up by money from the (AFL) TV rights. Apart from girls who want to play footy, and their families, the Saintsational support type group is exactly who the AFLW would want to appeal to - rusted on club supporters who will support a gre...

Re: Selling games!!!!????
Tasmania is a very different proposition to NZ - Tasmania is/was a football state crying out for live and attention from the AFL. It’d be far more difficult to get engagement with a NZ population, or Cairns for that matter.

A very experienced former AFL club CEO once told me that very astute business(men) lose all of their business acumen as they walk through the front door of an AFL club as a Board member.

The AFL will have to schedule the game where, if FREO wins (hopefully not) and they happen to get into the 8, they will be able to play quarantine-free the following week.

A great night!
But, having been caught in a traffic snarl on the freeway coming from Narre Warren South with no apparent prospect of getting into the ground, I bailed and sped home to watch on TV.

Yes to finals - out in straights Not even sure we can make it but yeah even if we do you're right out in straight sets but it gives us some passion to go one better next year  The only way you can go "out in straights" is to finish in the top 4. I think that's a bit of a stretch.

Re: How is your St Kilda compass spinning? ....
My St Kilda compass is one of those old fashioned shiny brass vintage ship's devices on the wall of my study and right now the needle is pointing to stormy weather ahead, with a chance of strong winds and rain - could be to do with the team heading to Adelaide for the next 2 games. Monday's still a...

Shades of 2002 at Sydney when Eade got the flick and Roos took over as interim coach. Despite the club wanting to appoint Wallace, the players and fans exerted enough pressure on the club to get Roos appointed.

“It was a mistake at the time and it was even worse mistake in hindsight. We shouldn’t have gone to Seaford.” Funny, there were a few of us on here at the time pointing out that Seaford would be a mistake. But the club mouthpieces here just parroted the rubbish being spruiked from the club. You didn...

There's been people on here for years who just parroted the company line - even to the point of saying how good Seaford was going to be when Blind Freddie could see its shortcomings.
Saintbrat was never one of those - certainly not an apologist for the club.

Re: Throw decision against Ross
It seemed to me that we did extremely well from the umpiring, particularly in the first half - happy to take them but sometimes you just have to pretend the umpire saw something you must have missed. But we got 3(?) goals from 50s, and then the calls for video reviews seemed completely unnecessary. ...

I'm not sure you can buy GA tix, but there seems only reserved seats available at the ground.
I've just bought 2 Level 1 reserved seats @ $35 each (+processing/handlling etc).
