What I loved the most

Less than a minute till halftime, we're up by a couple of goals and Gram gets in on halfback. Rather than milk the clock, kick to safety and nurse our 2 goal lead into halftime he takes the game on and goes forward, resulting in a goal and 3 goal lead. Clearly a different approach to the past few ye...

As they say, a week is a longtime in football.

Last week, pissed with mates, going crazy yelling the house down.

This week, watching it sober with my 9wk old daughter (whilst wife and other daughter at bday party).

If we're worried about L. Brown to the point of having an exclusive tagger for him, then we're in a hellofalot of trouble.... i dont we're necessarily worried about brown, its just that blake is a better match up at 2nd ruck that mcevoy. mcevoy doesn't have the mobility or pace of brown. not a popu...

I know they don't look at other clashes, but surely it was no different to Cross last week and he didn't get pinged.

If they were thinking about Baker coming back into the side, now would be the time to do it I believe.

Morris has to be unlikely. If he plays, it must have been some kind of misdiagnosis, but i think it's a bit of "ducks & drakes".

Overconfidence

Maybe this comes from a lifetime of being a Saints supporter, but all this GF talk makes me very nervous. The confidence spruked on this website is killing me. How short are the memories of some? The rant and raves on here going into the prelim against the Swans a few years back had us all in the GF...

I was a bit slower off the mark this time, but just signed up my brand new baby girl Ruby(11 days old) as a member of the mighty saints.

I now have two daughters, Ebony & Ruby. Anyone guess the name if I have a third daughter? :D

I have a standing bet of a carton of beer with a Freo supporter I used to work with in Darwin years ago. We only see each other every few years, but it's just an excuse to ring/txt when the games are on, and then to get on the piss when we do see each other. I also had a standing bet of a strawberry...

I would be delighted if we win 4 out of 6. Don't get too confident after just one win. agreed. i think we'll be 9-6 with losses to freo (hard to beat at home) and cats (clearly the best at the moment). given our form, maybe one other loss, most likely to brisbane as they are hard to beat at home ev...

I did a lions free tour of the Gabba and facilities on Saturday and Goose was one of the players we got to talk to. He was actually acting like his namesake, and all I could think of was how 5 years ago he was untouchable and taking it up to J Brown. How times change. I couldn't bring myself to talk...

I have never noticed Jesse Smith on the playing field. If he is anywhere near as good as his Dad he will be an excellent pick-up. 30 odd possessions in a prelim final as a 19 yo, I would say he has some ability and he looked good in that game... but i really hope the recruiters saw something more t...

I didn't want to see either of them go... but understand why. Given that I'm now living in Brisbane, I hope for X's sake that I'll see him running around a lot this year. I was more surprised to see Goose go though, given how valuable key defenders are. Without knowing much detail, it looked to me t...

i think it's a good thing. from the outside, riewoldt reminds me of a robert harvey type... in that he would train and run himself into the ground if they let him. i think it's good to hold him back. its a long season ahead and im sure he's the type that has a great base fitness.
