Re: Why I'd be angry if we take Paddy
What would be the point in an intentional leak? If that were the case why not just come out and say it? The club definitely did intentionally leak it earlier in the week. I have my thoughts as to why they did it but I'll keep them to myself. i dont give a stuff but its obvious they leaked it. Obvio...

Re: Pick one - the burden
When you hear him talk he sounds like a top kid who will handle it with no problems. Basically said that being number one meant nothing to him, that he knows he needs to win the trust of his team mates and can't wait to get stuck into the pre-season.

Re: Welcome to the Saints Goddard!
Very risky picks. You sad sack! Last year Goddard was being touted as potential number one pick and no professional recruiter thinks that McCartin was not a worthy number one. You would have been one of those who complained about our picks last year as well. The next two drafts are stacked with qua...

Re: #41 St.kilda - Jack Lonie
He is our future small forward. At 174cm he can't play in many other positions. He will be roving to McCartin Not a fan of this at all - IMO the 1 position small forward (Milne role) is too 1 dimensional. If he can't go midfield what's the point?? Don't get it at all - Petracca plays mid AND kicks ...

Re: McCartin
Interesting from Phantom Draft guru Knightmare where he sees the last couple of years ranked together [omitted] Intersting he had Acres in the top 10, but also had Pteracca and Brayshaw ahead of McCartin Strange then that his 2014 Power Rankings have McCartin [3] way ahead of Petracca [18] and a li...

Re: McCartin
The Age today breaks the news that Petracca tested poorly in his psychological tests. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/trading-and-drafting/mccartin-or-petracca-st-kilda-spoilt-for-choice-20141126-11u8bh.html Recruiters have to sit up and pay attention when that happens as it could mean all sorts of thi...

Re: McCartin
Clearly most of our armchair experts and panic merchants know very little about these very young men. I don't profess to know them either. But our club now knows every one of them inside and out. You cannot just pick the 'best player' from a highlights reel and disregard everything else when you hav...

Trading in one or more classy Free Agents over the next couple of years is at the very top of the club's strategy. I am amazed at how little some of you blokes know about your own club.

Re: McCartin
From this morning's www.afl.com article, I believe this will be what decides who we pick: "What makes him tick? How does he handle success or failure? What are his quirks and foibles? Can he lead? What character traits come to the fore during times of triumph and stress? Can he play through pai...

Re: Eli Templeton (Rookie - Pick #3)
Footy Tragic had Templeton as 15th best in the National Draft, well ahead of players such as Hartung and Cripps. Looks like another good acquisition. Boom. Not sure who Footy Tragic is or why they matter? He was overlooked by every club multiple times before we picked him up in the Rookie Draft. Th...

ELI TEMPLETON Height: 182cm, Weight: 73kg, DOB: 19/8/1995 Recruited from: Burnie Dockers Eli Templeton is really just a ‘no-fuss’ type of player. You’...

Jack Billings
Kristian from Footy Tragic had Billings at number 5. His first 6 in order were Boyd, Sheed, Scharenberg, Kelly, Billings, Acres. JACK BILLINGS Height: 185cm, Weight: 77kg, DOB: 18/8/1995 Recruited from: Oakleigh Chargers Jack Billings is probably the silkiest player in this draft. He’s played mostly...

Luke Dunstan (St Kilda - Pick 18)
Kristian from Footy Tragic had Dunstan going at pick 14. He rated all our picks highly. LUKE DUNSTAN Height: 184cm, Weight: 83kg, DOB: 29/1/1995 Recruited from: Woodville West Torrens I feel like Luke Dunstan is being sorely underrated among circles alongside his ‘D’ brother in Trent Dumont. Blake Acres (St Kilda - Pick 19)
I'm posting some great analysis by Kristian from Footy Tragic. Apologies if anyone has already posted. Kristian follows these boys very closely as you can see from the comments and doesn't pay any attention to the other phantom drafts. He had Blake Acres going at pick 6 (one past Billings who he had...

I know you are only joking but the reality is that Hawthorn is the only remaining club with the same coach they had 4 years ago. St Kilda has done nothing other than try to improve personnel like any other club does.

Re: I'm speechless
Happy with Richardson. Years of coaching experience. If we make only 25% as much progress as Port did this year then we'll be on the right track. Port certainly didn't want to lose him and it looks like the board trumped them. Whats the big deal about Mark Williams? He wasn't good enough to be the ...

Un-fucking-believable! You'd think the stupid hag would be happy since Richmond's coaching department has been left intact. Re: Agree or disagree on McEvoy trade
Savage is more than likely not going to make it.. 4 years in the system is a 75% proven commodity.. 13 disposal per game average is a low base to improve on.. Pick 17 is a toss of the coin.. He needs to find some consistency but you have to discard that 13 disposal avg as he spent so many games as ...

How many kpps do you need in the modern game anyway? Ideally 2 - one at either end of the ground with a spare on the bench. And the kpps that play the forward role well are as rare as hen's teeth. You do need plenty of athletic talls though and every player we drafted is well over 6 foot (182cm). 6 ...
