Re: Craig Devonport escapes jail time for fraud
He kicked the winning goal in one game as well. Was it against the Pies?

Sad to see. I remember him kicking five in the first quarter against the Eagles one night

Rooey did his knee in his first year, as did Petracca. Plenty of players have had outstanding careers after serious injuries early on.The Fireman wrote: ↑Thu 10 Feb 2022 2:27pm both bros with serious knee injuries all ready ...................I will now be worried everytime I see Max leave the grd for a mark

This is a real missed opportunity IMO. He is one of our greatest ever (top 5).

Not really This thread is the opposite IMO and the reason is that it was a contentious decision and that it wasn’t hindsight. It was a risk selection- with the number 1 pick And by risk, I don’t mean McCartin I mean overlooking the obvious selection, that can always come back to haunt you! In this ...

Re: The Hunter headclash
AS someone who hasn't been following any of the media comment opinion re this incident, I am genuinely shocked at this result. It flies in the face of all the AFL and medical experts have been saying over the last decade about needing to protect the head. Mackay had a choice and he chose to bump. He...

Disgusting outcome. Players will have to take matters into their own hands in the future because they can expect no protection from the tribunal.

Re: The Hunter headclash
Its a no-brainer from my perspective. I have watched it numerous times now and Mackay launches himself off the ground and into Hunter's head. Six weeks.

Re: Marshall out
If they have to have an operation for the issue then they miss time, but if it snaps completely then they're good to go. That's why banger jumped off the kitchen table a couple of times until his snapped - meant he was good to go again immediately rather than having surgery and missing weeks. From ...

Incredibly sad. I remember when he started and how we all had such high hopes for him as a player. Life has dealt him a tough hand, unfortunately it seems that the culture at the Saints at the time was the opposite of what he needed.

Re: YOU'LL LOVE THIS I/V WITH TOM HIGHMORE
Don’t agree with kids seen and not heard. But I did turn it off after 3 mins coz the kid was so annoying. He’s already picked up all the male blimey vernacular at what 11 or 12. Kind of felt sorry for him. Well and truly imbued with the formula. To me he was just interested in asking his next quest...

Re: Open Mike Luke Ball
Ball giving Collingwood intel on our game plan from 2009 helped cost us, and give Collingwood, the 2010 premiership. He will be remembered mainly for three things - being a Collingwood premiership player, passing the ball to Gardiner for "that" mark in 2009, and being the player drafted be...

Re: Essendon player tests positive to COVID 19
Given this, the increased number of cases in Vic recently, and the reluctance of the WA clubs to extend the hub, I can't see this ending well for the comp this year.

Re: now it’s Fake Crowd noise
It sounded like they were playing next to the ocean. No noise doesn't sound great either, but I prefer it to white nothing noise that doesn't go close to reflecting what is actually happening on the field.

If 2009 is any guide, a seventeen week season could well suit us. Pity we have already dropped one game.

The sooner they get rid of this the better. It sounded more like the crowd from an Olympics High Jump than a game of footy. Terrible.

Lots of skill errors, but still an exciting game to watch. We did well against the ladder leaders - just ran out of legs in the end after a couple of key injuries. Bad brain fade by MacDonald, but a great goal from her a few minutes earlier.

I think it is Patrikios People still called Jack Steven, Jack Stevens after he won 4 B & F's.... And Hunter Clark, Hunter Clarke ff  s. Apologies And many more still call St Kilda Saint Kilda. Which really does my head in. I agree totally with this one - how often do we hear commentators ...

Re: Saints vs Crows
Surely you can see instances when there might be confusion. Or do we only discuss AFL when the matches start? We don't play the Crows in the AFL until 26 April. I think most people seeing this post would assume it was about the AFLW game that was played yesterday. I don't think we need to worry too...

Re: This Sunday
Good luck to our girls today. Any player wearing a Saints jumper is worthy of support. There seems to be a bit of a competition by some on this site (and in the community) to be the most disinterested in AFLW, but today is an exciting landmark. Those complaining about skill levels compared to the me...
