Odd
Have we maxed out the salary cap for 2024?
Or
Are we concerned in not meeting the minimum payments for 2025?
Isn't there a long term injury list?
Can't work out why we just don't pay Brad out and thank him for his service. If he is done move on.

Re: Paton, Hayes, Hotton delisted
Thank them for their service and wish them luck for their future. The club will have given them all opportunity to make the grade. A change of clubs may give their career a kick. Saints need to revitalise their list and it won't come from these players. Therefore move on and see if we can crack the ...

Bad taste has become a criminal offence.
Since the season is over. Does that mean that the players suspended are out of the Brownlow?

Wish him well and thank him for his service. He has been a good player and done his job. It is now time to give our young brigade a chance to grow.
He won't be coming back.

Re: 204cm WAFL Ruckman
Probably first question would be ... is a 25 year old happy to move Perth to Melbourne to play for the Zebras?
Realistically if Rowan is fit he will have limited opportunities.
If he is all in then would be worth a go as big men come into their prime later.

Worth a go. Young and could be moulded still.
Tomlison is an average player that is now old. Old average players don't improve. They get slower or injured.

I didn't know Bonner was delisted. 19 games then dumped. Yes ordinary by foot. Bad decisions etc. He was given a lot of game time. Thought would have been useful as a backup as we have made lots of changes already and don't have many draft selections ( is it 4) Are we going to be that active in the ...

Absolutely reduliculous.
RiP comedy any any sense of humour. Very sad.
Yes some were in bad taste. Some probably should have had something said to the player.
Private party, closed to outsiders.
How can it possibly end up with missed matches.

very low cost for a player we need.
Not going to be a star of the club. Hopefully serviceable and most importantly what we need.
Great post above regarding the quality Pick 45s in the last few years. Put it in perspective. Hit and miss with more chance of miss at that end of the draft.

We need a second ruck. We can't bank everything on Rowan not getting injured.

Re: Cutting too deep
The number of changes needs to be balanced. Too many and the club needs to rebuild its soul. There is only so many players that you can pick up theough draft and trade. Zack Jones is better than say pick 80 in the draft .... we have invested a massive amount in him. Would be good to get an additiona...

Some players bodies are just not up for AFL. The 2.0l 4 cylinder engine rocks in a Carolla. However it would break in a RAM It would get the RAM around town, but when it comes to towing and driving up mountains it breaks. Much like many players bodies. They can be awesome at club level. But when it ...

Re: Butler's Stats 2024
He played almost a defensive role spending much of the time outside the forward arc. Yes listed as attack but rarely close enough to get goals. But saying that
His output is way down. He either needs to improve or get used to his Zebra team mates.

Re: Ladhams or Soldo who should we recruit
We need someone if Marshall goes down. Our back ups just aren't back ups. They are part time fill ins. Owen's is a future star. Can ruck for a quarter here or there. But you don't want him thrown to the wolves. What if Rowan does a knee in Round 1. Season over for the saints? Hayes is a crystal vase...

Joe is 30. He could go again but many big men are done around 30.
Max. Long history of injuries. Signed until he is 32 ....
I hope there is some clauses in that contract.

So is the signal that Crouch is done? Macrae is a has been. 1 year cover at beat. Other than that his days are done. Inside mids fall off the cliff faster than any other position. Ryder was bought in for a purpose to protect and develop Marshall and it worked perfectly. Very different scenario to Ma...

Re: Did We Miss Crouch that Much In The Back Half?
Definitely missed Crouch grunt around the clearances. His big body helps. The inclusion of Clarke I believe helped. Not like for like but the Saints definitely improved when Clarke came in. Is he essential... probably not Dies he add yes Is he better than the alternative... yes today. By August 2025...
