Re: 2013 Members card Arrived today!
Bit of a query - or perhaps a warning for others.. Got my card and two kids cards today - my son is a junior and daughter is a Little Saint. I noticed that my daughters card had no barcode on it - checked last years, and it had a barcode so I thought it must be a mistake. I rang the club - they sai...

Re: Some wanted BJ as captain
Lenny by a country mile.
People can want all they like. BJ won't ever be the captain in my opinion - is too focussed on himself, shows poor leadership and I know that his attitude around the club to the younger players is not what would be expected of a leader or captain.

Re: Not good enough Watters
Wasn't Watters best coaching performance, but the lack of effort and execution certainly didn't help either - that is as much the players fault as the coaches. Having said that, what was the mega-slow game plan all about last night? Right from the start it seemed like all the run and carry we had go...

Re: Here's how I see it (briefly):
Good post, I agree with almost all (except for the Raph Clarke issue - will never be any good. Ever.) to the very last two words - Lenny was our best player tonight IMO, carried the midfield on his own with NO HELP from any of the others who rotated in there, other than Big Mc.

Re: Goddard(Is he Elite)
Elite? A couple of years back he might've been approaching that status....now is nowhere near IMO. Appers to have no desire at the moment, no competitive aggression...whether that is because he is leaving or is just badly out of form who knows, but it is very frustrating to watch such an integral pa...

Re: Roo where is he really at as a player now?
Excellent post Onloooker. Roo has been one of our best and most consistent perfromers this year, despite getting older and having ongoing chronic injury issues. One bad game and everyone jumps on his back - you've got to be kidding me. The delivery was disgraceful, which never helps. The midfield (o...

Re: Not the runner again!
I thought it was a poor decision too - what was he supposed to do? Was running to the bench, it was a poor, ill-directed kick that was suddenly coming straight at him - was he expected to just disappear into thin air? Didn't touch the pill, his being there didn't alter the outcome of the kick or the...

Re: Losing friday nights....
I'm hearing ya Pup - couldn't agree more...BUT...had numerous texts last night from different people who support a range of clubs saying it was the best game of the season. No, that doesn't mean we accept the defeat, nor does it get us the four points we desperately needed - but at least we can be p...

Re: who teaches these guys to kick
Gilbert is the worst handballer in the comp - unbelievable that a player at the highest level continually misses targets 3m away by hand. Not to mention that he has no right foot at all. Stumpy.
Trade bait.

Have a feeling you'd say you want Bert Newton if people said they didn't want him. Each to their own - that ANY St Kilda supporter could say they would support, clap and cheer Mick Malthouse is absolutely beyond my belief. Juvenile maybe, and I'm sure you'll come back with some derogatory, smart res...

Have been a member since 1976 and will always be, regardless of how the side plays or where they are on the ladder. That is what being a supporter is all about surely? It's like a marriage...good times and bad. We've had our fair share of good times the last decade, and VERY unlucky not to take home...

Excellent post - spot on with almost every player. McQualter I thought was ordinary at best. Decision making and disposal is horrible at times, and his kicking at goal - once a huge bonus - was bad again. Doesn't do enough for mine - lives up to his nickname around us of the ghost. And Jones. Ugh. T...

Probably five incidents to be looked at. 1. Zac's gut punch on Knights. Looking at a week - ordinary record? 2. Tippetts gut punch of Fisher. Looking at a week, possibly downgraded with early plea? 3. Jacobs hit on Gram - elbow slid off shoulder into head. Should've been a free kick, unsure if a rep...

If you watch the replay closely, Johncock clearly turns his shoulder into Roo, and it collects his head - the vision CLEARLY shows that, there is no doubt or argument about it. Whether the match review panel or anyone else preceives that as a deliberate act or one of self-preservation remains to be ...
