Re: 2001 Draft....What if?

Read between the lines.
The point is, the gun players aren't always in round 1, a bit of luck can net a gun not matter where they are drafted, as long as they are developed well. Hawthorn have a great system and the likes of Sam Mitchel taken at 37? is testament. Been there and seen it personally.

Some players making an impact in their first year at other clubs this year include - Rioli for Hawthorn Taylor for Geelong Wellingham, Anthony for Collingwood...

L.Fisher - Finally found form. Was excellent at ground level and used the ball well. Didn't rack up huge stats but he saved us several Adelaide goals. Disagree -thought he was ordinary! R.Clarke - Started well, but tired in the second half and made a couple of poor mistakes. He wasn't nearly as bad ...

Yep, my memory is a little hazy but I only recall Tuck being out for period of time on one occasion.
P.S. I was at the club in 1983 under Des Meaher and Ray Biffin.

Banger in 2008

Banger needs 20 games in 2008 to become the 3rd highest number of games played at 379 over an amazing 20 years. It's interesting to note though that Tuck played 426 games over 19 years.
