Re: a goal-kicking forward line
we fell down badly in 2007 in not being able to kick winning scores imo this was partly because of RL's dubious "numbers behind the ball" philosophy/game plan, which, in effect means that we didn't really have permanent forwards save for fraser. i'd like a return to a more traditional set...

Didn't he win the Rising Star in his first year of football, playing at CHB? I would have thought that was a pretty consistent year of footy. I'm pretty sure the other 15 coaches spend plenty of time worrying about who to match up with him, wherever he plays. Yes, his first year of football. Nothin...

Who cares, as long as the roos stay alive and RB doesnt step back into our club except as a supporter barracking for the mighty saints. Under his regime, he had the football way understaffed, one of the clubs with least money spent on the football department. That's one of the reasons we made health...

well said. X and Raph sh*t me. Soft at the ball, x plays one good game in 10, Raph always groined, X was uninjured for the first time all year and was still not really serviceable. Matty Ferg-I like him. He plays where he is told, so he cant go forward if RL wants him down back. Gwilt, yes, I agree,...

BJ is going to be a 250 game champion for us. I feel sorry for him if he isn't up to his brilliant best as soon as he runs on the track, as idiots will be calling for him ot be traded for a round 2 pick. come late in the season or 09 we'll see his full worth. champion player. He is a good player, b...

Who gave Victoria the right to think they're the best footballing state anyway??? Well, we are dufus. Judd, Ablett, Harvey, Del, J brown, Lloyd, Lucas, Last Years Brownlow medallist, Mooney, Hall, Lappin, West, Johnston, Bruce, N Brown, Everitt as back up, the list goes on. That Sa list is nothing ...

Re: developing players and our bottom teir
Of what I have no doubt is that Lyon KNOWS how to identify talent and turn it over. IMO St Kilda has a tendancy to take to long to identify those that wont cut the mustard - something that can play a critical part in a lists depth and become a major difference during season between good list manage...

What a forward line
We would just about have one of the most potent forward lines in the league next year with G back. Add in Rooey, Kosy, Schneider, Milne and others. doesn't get better than this. All they need is the delivery from Monty, BJ, Lenny, and Del etc and we are set up for a great year assuming injuries and ...

Re: The love affair between St.Kilda and Gehrig!!
Not since the great Trevor Barker have I seen such a passionate player about his football club. Rob Harvey also has the same passion. Loewe, Spud and Burkey are also right up there. When big Fraser played for the Eagles - he was a very much maligned player, even by his own supporters!! (think Blake...

To the tossers of pots who make outrageous, farcical statements that suggest the G don't even try; Stay f***ing home, you creeeping imbecilia. Instead take note of the freakin' fact that having been told that the G wanted to play again, THE PLAYERS went ape. They love him - you know why, dead head?...

Re: NO to GTrain
I for one know it will be a mistake taking Frazer back as it is a step in the wrong direction. He is to slow and has no defensive efforts on a consistant basis. NO PLEASE GO FOR YOUTH First of all spell his name right. G is a champion.Look at how many goals he kicks. 2 colemans and 60 goals last ye...

I got the answer boys. His ankle wont be the same again, ever. Is travelling and more than likely will be playing AMOS for collegians.
Apparently it hurts to a degree when he jogs. Shame because he never got his body right. He wont be applying anywhere to come back into the system from a good source.

You cannot confuse the OP with the abductor release. They are two seperate injuries and Ball has had them concurrently. The abductor release is similar to Jon Brown and Judd. OP is always present. It degenerates the muscles around the groin and the bone. You can possibly treat it but it cannot be c...

Harvey is no doubt a champion, but you cannot possibly bag Judd.the game is different now than when Harvey was at his peak. More professional now than ever. Judd, to be honest is a little better than Harvey at his peak. Not much though. Judd is a more effective kick and better use of the football a...
