I had a weird kind of reaction to the boys carrying him out on their shoulders, like it was a funeral and they were the pallbearers. It wasn't a celebration at that point, it was a commemoration. I watched Harvey leave the green and thought, "That's the last time I'll see him on the green."...

Alright Plugger - if you insist -

Of COURSE I want the Saints to win next year. But a part of me would be gutted that Harvey wasn't there with them.

I guess some people react differently to a sad time. I cry. You... do whatever you're doing.

Why does a football team make me this emotional! My Hawks-supporting husband was a little taken back by my tears. While laughing, he tried to console me, by saying "It's just a game." To break the tension, I replied (singing the tune) "It's MORE than a GAAAAAAAAAAAME!" It's not ...

I feel bad for hoping that we don't win next year. That would rip his guts out.   So you actually dont want to win it next year because it will upset Harvs. What is becoming of Saints supporters. What's becoming of us? I'll let you in on a little saying you may have noticed around h...

I came on here this morning, with the intention of posting a thread called "Did You Cry?" I cried last night. Got myself together and then when he had finished his talk in the locker rooms and started to cry, I cried again. I woke up this morning and cried again. Not because we lost, but b...

I've ordered a copy of Aussie Rules For Dummies, so I can learn the nitty gritty. I'm expecting it late this month. :D In the meantime, please forgive my ignorance (and remember, "There is no such thing as a stupid question!")... I don't really know what a Captain is supposed to do. If you...

Really? I reckon it's a bit weird for anyone over the age of 15 and downright wrong for anyone over the age of 30. Photos I can understand though. See, I felt completely the opposite. My husband kept telling me to go ask Fraser to have my picture taken with him - which would have made my year. I ju...

I took quite a few. I'll have to get them loaded up soon (I'm in the middle of a move). Not even sure how they turned out as something was weird with the camera and I had quite a bad shutter lag - which actually means I probably took more pictures than I normally would have. I do know one thing - I ...

I went and thought it was great! Unfortunately, the queues were just too long to be able to get any autographs and like someone said - lots of people had a plan for each part of the family to stand in different queues. Next year, I'll get there early. I'd love to know how much they raised at the gat...

The most shocking thing about Richmond was their guernseys. Seriously. What paper-pusher thought that was a good idea? The last thing I'd want blazoned on my chest is "Dick" anything. The big "white tiger teeth" zig-zag stuff on one side, and a small Tiger emblem towards the bott...

Cheer Squad

Sorry if this info is posted elsewhere, but every time I do a Search I get a 'forbidden' page... My question is: What's involved in being part of the Cheer Squad? What is expected? What can I contribute? It just seems like a very low price to have tickets, and I've always wondered how you become on...

When I immigrated to Australia, I lived in Elwood. I didn't like the vibe, and chose something close to the beach - St Kilda became my home (on Jackson Street, right behind the corner of Fitzroy and Acland). My cat got sick and was trying to eat my houseplants. I realised he wanted grass. With no gr...
