Re: That was the bravest win I have seen in a long time.
It was a fantastic win. It shows that we have more player depth than we thought. It shows that our players can "enjoy" playing together.' It showed that (as with the Collingwood game) - if the players "buy-in" 100% to the gameplan - then the coaching is as good as it is at Sydney...

Re: Hunter Clark!
Hunter played 19 games last year - and was one of the reasons we won some of the close ones we have lost this year. I have a feeling this win would not have been ours without Hunter. Well done! Great game and midfield presence. A calming influence and he still looks like he has an extra second.

Re: Let's Talk About the Elephant In the Room
#2 Did Ross get sick at half-time and Corey took over coaching? I was at the game but not paying attention at the 3 qtr-time break, to our huddle. But Boris did the presser post-game. If Boris coached the 2nd half, then maybe RTB changes job duties to 'Director of Coaching' like Mark Williams is do...

Re: POLL Y or N- happy for Ross to be our guy again?
Given we don't have a coach, sure I'll be happy enough to have Lyon back. If we even entertained the idea for one second of having either Hird or Buckley, from teams that simply despised us when they were there, then I'd feel vommitous every time a game came on. There is no way guys like that could ...

Re: Ross Lyon?
While I feel absolutely devastated for Ratts, there is a solid argument that he did not really improve our players' performances on the field in successive seasons. Some have fallen back in terms of confidence in themselves and in a game plan. IF .. players like Roo and Lenny and Goddard etc.. back ...

I think it should also be noted, without naming anyone, that this site appears to have become replete with brain-dead, self-destructive, nuclear-lipped, club-immolating c*ckheads who should be banned from this site - rather than dominate this forum with their drivel and senseless, useless, critical,...

Re: Brad Hill - rebounding back
I watched him from the stands. He played much closer to the contest which suits him better. He has great explosive speed. Not many would beat him over 20m. However his top speed is relatively slow. He gets to top speed fast, far quicker than nearly all other players. However I would consider his sp...

I guess the Mods have to judge whether this happened and whether posts like this "bring this site into disrepute" - I know I come here less frequently because of the vicious and personal attacks on posters and our players. Site rules: ABUSING OR DEMEANING A SAINTS PLAYER, FAMILY OR OFFICIA...

Re: Question about King?
Watch Jack Riewoldt kick. He knows his technique and has mastered his ball drop. He has a quick glance up at the goal then focuses on his mark. Its all about rhythm. Keep your head down and focus on your ball drop. Members also has a very good kicking technique - all focus on the ball and the drop....

Re: So who has the story?
They are certainly lacking confidence, the body language at half time yesterday coming out from the rooms spoke volumes! They just did not portray much energy or desire. Not convinced on Crouch. Hill is flat, and no one either gives it for the run or has the time. No one runs forward in groups this ...

It must be lovely to have such wit, with a racist edge, my young friend. You have basically pilloried the coach by ridiculing his choices in the draft. Do you understand? I might also mention I have seen... Or listened to every Saints final since 1963 ... Hill has played more finals than you have wr...

Re: Who remonstrated with Cotchin ?
Agree with the Fireman - we have been soft with tackles these two finals and landed few - and it is obvious to our potential opposition. Need to toughen up for sure. I detest Hardwick but he is correct about the "play on the edge thing".

I suppose we should replace our coach too after such terrible drafting - and an appalling year? Where have you been with Richo for the past five years Whiskers?

Re: Brad Hill
Hill had a crap game, no doubt about that. At times we avoided kicking it across to two of our unmarked players, ready to run, including Hill but we continually kicked it to packs and contests full of Richmond players. This was a result of pressure. I won't be bagging any of our players or be critic...

Not just him that wasn't used well ... The ball players were pressured, several times players were loose on the other side but we couldn't get it over and release the run.

Re: Brad Hill Workrate
Hill has the fastest run of any AFL player this year - round 4 v Richmond. Speed = 36.6 km/h. Now I know I am getting scientific - but I ride a bike and he runs faster than that - so I looked it up. That is exactly 10 m/s. In other words - running flat out - he runs a straight 10sec 100m - while BOU...
