Re: Changes for Friday
Actually - stuff it. I might as well be brutally honest. I think Newnes is the most overrated player on our list and if I have to watch him turn it over one more time by foot - I'll completely lose my sh!t. I don't care if he wins another 3klm time trial - I'd rather he learnt how to hit a target b...

Re: Riewoldt: Seaford ‘crushed’ the playing group
I really get tired of the ol Seaford argument. How short memories are. We tried to return to The Junction Oval that didn't work out. We tried to go to Frankston and that burned down. Moorabbin Council did not want us a the time. Not a lot of alternatives at the time. Times change and like everyone ...

Re: Left field pickups in upcpming trade period
I've stated in another thread I want Atley from North Melbourne. He has pace to burn and is a great user by foot. I'm sure he would be the most experienced player from his draft in a games played sence. Atley is possibly the worst 'user by foot' in the whole competition. Only recruit if we want a p...

Re: Comment from Jaxons please
All this on the back of speculation from Jake Niall? F**k me! Let me get this right, Niall is spinning a yarn that Paddy has been managed, is frustrated by lack of opportunity and other Clubs are circling. I've no doubt a raft of Clubs desperate for a Key Forward (the toughest & most important ...

And only a fool accepts mediocrity as the norm, something our club has done for the majority of its 143 years of existence. Try doing something while it's not too late. Why wait until it's all over? Thank you for proving my point my useless idiot. Sacking coaches & trading out talented players ...

Re: Still happy with McEvoy trade
There's also a big difference between being a VFL player and playing in the VFL due to form, coming back from injury, etc.
Dunstan and Savage have played plenty of very good AFL games and I'm sure that they will again.
I can't think of one moment where I have missed McEvoy being in RWB to be honest.

Would be amazing...while many say it's not possible the longer he puts off committing the more likely he will be a saint. Can't see anyone else attractive enough or with enough money to compete with us... Best thing is we may get him for hawks pick which would be just fantastic.... We wouldn't have...

Re: Acres
Why would you trade for a player, rather than access a free agent? That's a bizarre comment?? Surely we our first option is to look at FREE agents?! You need to understand that to get a star now that you will most likely need to trade a player/s or pick/s. 1/ there are no good unrestricted free age...

Re: The Pelchen Legacy
I personally don't see any acrimony between Pelchen & the club following his departure. During his trade week media work he even stated that "I'm obviously bias but St.Kilda is a clear winner". I might be wrong but a bloke who has left after a bitter axing doesn't reflect that he biase...

Crikey! Anyone think we aren't in top up mode anymore? Yep we are going for the chocolates - it just got real in here. And seeing as we have gone defcon 1 at a flag tilt, I can see the sense in this. With Goddard not sure when he'll be back, Brown can play on the number 1 gorilla forward (like Hawk...

Banger is going to be replaced by Sanderson at Filthville so he's an obvious candidate. I'm not sure whether he's a great addition though... wonderful player & clubman but can he actually coach?

One of the most ineffectual 25 touch & 1 goal games you'll see. Of course he improved on last weeks game. We played Richmond instead of Sydney. Richmond laid 44 tackles & applied minimal pressure. Billings needs to start playing well when the heat is on & be a more damaging player. That...

Re: Anybody else having doubts with trading in a star?
Maybe best to go for a Marchbank/Steele type and of deal and keep pick 8 or 9 or whatever it is as well. If Hurley is interested in coming to the club.. great... lets work something out. Don't blow smoke up the guy's arse though. Same goes with chasing any 'star' players. Might even be best to wait...

Re: f*** you umpires you cheats
I just watched a replay of the third quarter and noticed another Nicholls moment - when Joey kicked that long goal, Nicholls actually called 'play on' as he ran in to take his kick. Joey did nothing more than approach the kick with an arc - much less of an arc than the 'Buddy arc'. And yet that pie...

Yes i know that, but they don't say Saints to throw the kitchen sink at him with 1.5 mill. Totally different They don't say we're not! It may also be an attraction to Fyfe that we're the last club on earth who would hire Lyon when he and freo part ways. They don't say we are either to keep it in pe...

What a seriously sad and delusional post.
Seriously mate, take your pills. I'm not sure how you've survived being a Saints supporter for so long if you attitude is as negative and aggressive towards our coach (who has overseen a very promising rebuild in quick time).

Re: Bulldogs No. 4
Its been 3 years and Billings will never be anywhere near the player of Bontempelli. Its like the Luke Ball, Chris Judd call. Trout has a lot of work to do to make up for that gaff! Trout has to make up for the Judd/Ball decision? Wasn't he an assistant at Essendon in November 2001? Yep, what a gaf...

Re: Bulldogs No. 4
Too early to call the better player IMHO. Sure he's settled in quickly, but Billings has the body of a kid still. Billings will improve but he is not quicker and will never get close to his body strength. Bonty has a lot bigger, powerful frame and is strong in the shoulders. Genetically he has the ...

Re: If Paddy plays and Petracca plays.....
If we'd drafted Petracca supporters would be whining about not taking the big marking tall forward that Melbourne would be playing beside Hogan. We'd be watching Bruce one out against 4 blokes (instead of 3) and hoping that Tom Lee would still be the answer as a tall forward. I'm amazed that any sup...
