Re: Time to pay tribute to a great Saint
With a heavy heart I come back on here to say goodbye to a champion person. He got life, smiles and humour all around. Will never forget the period of 2000 to 2012 where he was always a fun and lovely person to share the ups and downs of following the saints. Always willing to smile and listen, no m...

Re: Well done Richo !
The first half was 2014 all over again, defensive handpasses, slow movement etc. But as the coach noted they started to expand their vision into the centre and the quick movement meant that bad kicks could still be dangerous going forward. I like the focus on developing a winning game plan.

Re: No TV Coverage?
No the galling part is that clubs are not allowed to stream via their website games no televised. It's a disgrace, something the AFL needs to look at. It's 2015 for gods sake!

bampton looks like he could develop well. Keital is a forward who could be developed as a FB.

Re: Well done saints. Outstanding!
interesting we were the fourth best clearance team last year. So that is not a issue. Our run and carry is a big worry but can be fixed in the next draft. Long term drafting this.Jacks Back wrote:Only one mid from 4 picks doesn't bode well for our centre clearances.

Re: #41 St.kilda - Jack Lonie
will be interesting to see if they can develop a mid/half forward role for him, even if it's just 30% of game time. Champion data suggests he has the skills and agility to go top 20. Not a bust at pick 41 but could be very good replacement for Schneider.

Re: Goddard : Thank you Blues
Was a star as a under aged player but did not set the world alight this year. But still rates elite with intercept marks and spoils on champion data rankings and only got beaten 3 times in one on one contests. maybe his form as a forward made him slide. But could still be developed as a swingman. Th...

Re: Hopefully this means..........
No it's the lack of knowledge from some before you shoot your mouth off. Goddards best football currently is at CHB. Maybe he will have the ability to swing but right now the backline will be a good starting point. Lee and white will complement Paddy down forward. A forward line containing Paddy, wh...

Re: Paddy #1 - Live draft thread
Nailed this draft KPF who was equal best in draft Swingman who will play CHB. Great size. Was touted top pick at start of the year and still predicted to be top 10 last week Fast athletic midfielder. Will give us that outside run Small forward who has a good history with paddy, will kick a lot of go...

Re: Saints games in 2015
matrix, I live in geelong and work weekends so I can only get to say 2-3 games a year so the fixture really does not effect me. But I can see the financial killer of this draw. Just need to keep afloat till our onfield results turn around. Even then it does not seem to matter as the big clubs always...

Re: Saints games in 2015
That's rubbish P66, we average 6 interstate trips every year. the thought with NZ would be that it would reduce our travelling not add to it. Friday night has nothing to do with performace, carlton and Collingwood both missed finals last year yet get the majority of the Friday night games. Richmond ...

Re: Saints games in 2015
how can it be fair P66 when we have no Friday night home matches, almost all our home games are on sunday and we travel the most out of the Victorian teams. I would have thought that helping the AFL extend out to NZ would allow us to miss a few interstate trips. How can Melbourne only travel 3 times...

Re: Whats the deal with Siposs?
Tank and ability to win one on ones have hampered him. Has the tools, just needs the intensity and ability to run all day. Was mentioned that he has started pre-season training already so hopefully the penny has dropped.

would like to see more of Murdoch over the off season. Get a tank on him and he has some serious weapons. spencer just looks like a forward. That's half the battle. It's all about work effort over summer for him, work hard and good things are there for him. Has the tools for the top level. Agree tha...

Re: Game Thread v Tigers
22 to 14 free kick count in the Tigers favour They've had 400 touches, we've had 282. Hard to get free kicks if you haven't got the footy. Most of that was cheap chips around the backline. Have a deeper look at the stats and we held our own contested poss tiger 127 saints 121 contested marks tigers...

Re: Game Thread v Tigers
look that sums up where we are at periods of good football followed by longer periods of terrible football. Skills come with confidence. But some are just marking time. Question marks over jones and ray for delisting. Weller makes silly mistakes. We are not mentally on to start these quarters but wo...

midfield got killed in first half of that quarter. Second to the ball is never a good starting point. Mentally I'm an not sure where joey is at, armo quiet and steven still not at his best. Worked back into it thanks partly to some great pressure and run from the likes of wright, also we pushed numb...
