Re: Vale Kevin "Cowboy" Neale

Wore number 18 on the back of my saints footy jumper from around 1968 onwards. He was a fantastic player and really tough. I was talikng to my cousin about the great collision between Cowboy and Leigh Matthews out in the centre of waverley park around the 74 or 75 season. Ball was between them and t...

Marto - you could not be more wrong about Tony74.
He is inside the club and his bits of information are the only reason I still lurk around here. I know who he is - you are so far wide of the stumps on this..

playing at Etihad - our fortress.

We have loaded up with skilfull and fast players - with King and Marshall lurking up in the forward line - could be super exciting.

geez, there was some talent running around then. Big Gehrig was a beast and a dead eye shot. Hamill at his best, Goose at his best. very very good team.

Billy Slater

His influence is definately starting to show for me. The tackling at the saints this season has gone through the roof - both in numbers and intensity. They are tackling to hurt.. Dorks were all walking around very sore after the game, carrying bruises and gashes from the maniacal and very fierce tac...

Re: Saints chasing big names

There is substance to this although I can fully understand ppl rolling eyes etc... Gubby Allan was brought to the club for this very reason - and he is well connected right through the industry..I would think if anyone can pull off some super recruiting then it will be him.. He is very well liked by...

Re: THAT Match- 10 years on

Now this one's going back a long, long way but I wonder if anyone remembers the Saints vs Hawthorn game in R5, 1976 where little Saint Paul Callery, the smallest player in the league, was knocked out and very close to dying apparently. We were down by 5 goals at half time, which was like 10 goals i...

Re: Welcome Max King

Have just heard that big Maxie trained with the dees during last years pre-season for 4-5 sessions.
Was out-marking the tall demon defenders with ease and making them look silly. Was described as unstoppable and he was just 16-17 yo. Go and ask Dean Kent.
This kid will be absolutely unstoppable.

Re: Harves?

Ppl I can confirm our last remaining coaching appointment will happen after the GF.

Both possibles are involved in the GF.

Next week we will know. 2 possibles are very busy at present - but should be free next week lol.

We will then have a pretty savvy coaching set up.
Happy days ahead.

Big Paddy

Watching ch 7 news tonight - they had a clip of Paddy just throwing big Nat Brown away like he was just a rag doll. And then clunked the mark. Was just a powerful statement of how strong this bloke is. If I was a defender from opposition - I would just s..t myself at the prospect of playing on him. ...

Re: RIP Drew

Drew was definitely a Saints man. Worked with my son who got to know him - got his confession. He was always a Saints man. Just didn't yell it from the rooftops. He was an emotional wreck like all of us after 09, 10.
