Had the same thought after watching the replay- we really were switched on from the first bounce. A slight concern though, especially against a team like Geelong- we dominated the first 15 mins for a return of 1.1 to 0. Our forward 50 entries need to improve to really make our ascendancy count on th...

Reckon Gwilt is a bit stiff, but you can't argue with the 3 inclusions. Looks a very strong side on paper. Are we missing something in the forward line though? Milne and Schneider should both definitely be in the team, but Gwilt offered that mid-sized lead up option that always provided a contest. I...

'Don't agree' with a philosophy that has us 9-0? Ridiculous. Gram still being out is a prime example of why this team is going so well. Spots in this team are like gold- you don't prepare properly, as Gram didn't, and you don't deserve a spot. You fight hard and perform your role in a winning team, ...

Was surprised with how mouthy the Essendon supporters were. Spose that's what happens to an arrogant mob when they get a sniff of possible success after a few years of shiteness. Anyway, enjoyed this reparte with some hothead Essendon supporter towards the end of the match- As he left (early), kept ...

Didn't realise we required our ruckmen to be pacy outside midfielders as well. He still needs time and will improve, but for a ruckman in his second year on our list, McEvoy looks very promising indeed. And our side looks so much better with 2 dedicated rucks and Kosi up forward. King will come back...

7-0... 208.2%... Only used 25 players... And we just beat Collingwood by 88 points! Why do people continually call for players to be brought in? The exact reason St Kilda is performing so well at the moment is because players like Gwilt, McQualter, Geary etc are performing their roles. Doing a job w...

Just went through the process and not sure it's an option to simply pay the $5 booking fee and guarantee entry. I think that only applies to fully ticketed games, such as next week against Essendon. Using my 16 game Social Club membership, looked like the cheapest option was to pay the $22-odd plus ...

Stephen Powell coming off the line to clean up Ling, followed by a few choice words, wouldn't hurt the cause either!

I think a point overlooked, by Steph especially, is that neither Plugger or Barry Hall would have ever produced the football they did after the trade had they stayed at St Kilda. I think Hall has even been on record this year stating that if he had stayed at St Kilda, he wouldn't be playing AFL foot...

Michael Gardiner

Thought MG was great last night. Presented around the ground, was good in the ruck, battled hard and threw himself into the contest. The more games this bloke gets under his belt, the better he gets. From last night's effort, he's really starting to show some signs. With some more continuity and an ...

Clarke directly cost us one goal with a half-assed soft attempt at a tackle.

Worst thing is he's a great tackler, yet things like that seem to happen all too often.

No one said he was racking up the stats, but what exactly do you expect from him? Rix is not in our best 22. King, Gardiner, Kosi and even Blake are all used in the ruck before him. He is never, ever going to set a game alight, but he can provide a contest, which is what he did. Put it this way- Rix...

Sav, I'm not saying Rix was in our best, but what did you expect from him tonight? He provided a contest, threw his body around a bit, and did some ok things around the ground.

What was it that made him so terrible?

Did not enjoy seeing Max give Goose a spray like that. I love Max as much as any Saints supporter, I know he bleeds red, white and black and never ever takes a backward step for this side. However, there's a time and place for sprays like that, and it's not in the middle of a game. I took it as a su...

Thought Rixy was at least serviceable tonight. He had a crack.

Brogan and Lade certainly didn't tear us apart like they have in the past. There are bigger problems in this side than Michael Rix.

Yeah nicely spotted Eastern. Funny that

His worst tonight had to be labelling Dom Cassisi the "unknown soldier of Port Adelaide".

On Anzac weekend that's almost offensive. What a prat.

Main problem tonight was where Goddard was used. Goddard is great running off half back and his use of the ball is spot on, but he was played far too deep in defence tonight.

Motlop is a smart player and merely highlighted the fact that Goddard is not a key defender.

Dwayne Russel is the absolute worst commentator in the game. No one even comes close to his level of idiotic, inane, useless comments. I don't care where a player was born, what his father's nickname was, what controversy he might have been involved in 5 fricken years ago or what his shoe size is. J...
