I had a footy signed by every player around the 80's some time. Was signed in biro so no laminate copies. Would have had Burke, Loewe, Harvey, Plugger, Barker. I think a younger sibling may have taken it outside one day and kicked it around then left it in the rain! No idea where it is now...

Wouldn't be surprised if it was understanding what needs to happen a bit better. Heard Mcveigh from swans talk on SEN a few weeks back on how hard it was for him to get a defensive side to his game but still stay attacking. Pretty much said took a few seasons to get used to it as he focused on defen...

Could have the interchange rules in the NAB Cup have helped us more than any other team. We are a more consistent running team not so explosive. Other teams are explosive but were not able to rotate through as often to keep them fresh. I would say Adelaide are the same apart from a few their midfiel...

I don't think Dal is the right guy to try and trade. However I think we need to have a look at trading with a team that has an excess of outside, 'faster' players who can break away from the pack for one of our more slower accountable players. Would Essendon be interested in L.Fisher or even Blake i...

Whilst I understand the fears of people on here regarding the way we are playing it wasn't that long ago Hawthorn, Geelong where playing terrible football also. Have a look at the teams below us. Freo - New coach Melb - New coach Carl - New coach Ess - New coach WCE - lost 2 star players Rich - rebu...

Blake will be needed next week! If Richo goes to the wing he is one person who can run with him. He won't need to compete with him in the air as if Richo does mark it out on the wing I don't think he will hurt us. Only issue is that Richo would then take him to the goal square and will need to swap ...

OUT: Rix, Maguire, Birss, L.Fisher??? IN: Gardiner, Gehrig, Geary, Schneider If Gardy is fit. If not then Kosi rucks just not sure who with. G allows Kosi to swap through the ruck and bench. Very little time forward! If Richo plays on the wing who goes with him? Not Max, Not S.Fisher. Only salvation...

If Dal is getting tagged out of games where are his teammates working for and with him. I am sure that all the better teams recognise the need for someone to block for one their best users of the ball. I'm pretty sure Corey does it for Ablett, and watching the other game no one did it for Kerr and t...

How about promotion and relegation? Say top 2 teams from WAFL, SANFL and VFL play a round robin for one or two spots in the AFL. Would this also stop tanking as yes you would get a great draft pick, however you play in a lower league and would prob lose many other players. And if free agency came in...

Channel 10 news
Just wondering if anyone caught the Channel 10 news? I walked out the room for a second to come back to vision of last nights 'melee' and something bout a $5000 fine. Anyone able to shed anymore light on what they had to say as it wasn't with the sport part of the news and nothing mentioned when spo...

One thing that I don't think has been highlighted on here is that the G-train has not laid one tackle all season. That's 3 games without a tackle. I understand he is a forward, however I think the G is at his best when he lays a bone crunching tackle, picks the ball up, plays on and kicks the goal. ...

If a team decides to flood back and also cram up the midfield then what options does that leave us? If we kick it long and don't win that contest all of a sudden numbers are with them and they run it back with interest. If we push the spare players up the ground we end up cramming it up more and lea...

Ross made an interesting comment after the game on 10. Something like 'we learnt some harsh lessons tonight'. I assume he meant by re adjusting mid game but he didn't really explain the comment that much. Really we kicked 6 goals but it should have been 10-11 goals with the shots on goal we had. Sam...

Are you telling us this is yet another failure of the 1.4 million dollar man. Imagine how much he would expect to get paid if he could actually do his job competently. Just what i heard. I heard it is a problem with other teams also. Something the AFL outsourced so lots of room for stuff ups and confusion there if they are handling all memberships even if it is just victorian teams. Might also be the reason club is so quiet and just doing everything it can to try and fix it as they ...
