Inconvenient elephant in the room....

Post: # 1802077Post ss1986 »

For Lethers and co.

Wonder if our Supreme Leader is going to conveniently ignore the fact that North look an infinitely better team since Brad Scott left?

It's because they know Ross Lyon is going to be their coach.

Dumbo in the room is Saints were 1: now 14 and descending. Reconcile that with improving and not tip the BS meter. New coach at least gets a low draft pick and only half a traumatised list. Richo gets to fish as much as he wants ( G'day Saints fans, they were not biting today, don't understand....)

Maybe you missed it.

Do we have a deal? Lyon to Carlton, Highett goes.

Lyon not to Carlton - 86 goes.

Answered my question yet?

One would think you are too chickenpoo to back up your assertion that I am full of BS Highett....

I was pondering the same question.

Does North suddenly winning games make Scott a bad coach? Does it prove he wasn't getting the best out of them?

You'd have to say yes, if it continues. A month of good footy doesn't really prove much though - however they clearly are responding to a new coach (even without Higgins too).

But is that because Scott was no good? Or after 10 years, does the message get tired? Does the place just get complacent?

I mean, he did coach them to the finals 4 times, and won finals with them. They played in 2 Prelims under him. Last year, they won 12 games with a % of 109, and finished 9th. In 2017, that would have had them in 7th spot on the ladder.

So maybe he overachieved with them early - then just stayed too long? Or maybe he underachieved with them for the past 10 years?

ss1986, you are not Julia Gillard are you? I am pretty sure HighettMan is not Kevin Rudd but you are offering the same deal.

Your generous offer will have the tins rattling in Freemantle to keep Rossy.
