Great f%king call. I'm actually not unhappy if we do that. Create some goddamn mayhem and buzz. In life, I'd rather be hated than pitied and I'd like my footy club to be viewed this way too.

That said - if it involved pick 4 which I sincerely hope will land us Rankine then perhaps not. The great unknown of of course is if on draft night with live picks, whether Port blinks and offers GCS 2 first rounders for either their picks 2 or 3 to ensure they snaffle Rankine (or possibly Lucocious) before us.

I would be highly surprised if Port takes picks 15 & 28. The Hawks have built their trade period around this now that Shiel has gone and Port knows it. They knocked back straight 15 from the get go and nominated "plus Burton" as a non-negotiable (he's an SA lad and PA and Adl are sick of the go home issue).

Just can't see the Hawks taking 28 for Burton who's a jet. As much as the Hawks know how to get a deal done and that you have to give good to get good - I think it's way unders for everyone except us (for once!).

If Burton for 28 happened though - I may be seen doing nudie runs up St Kilda Rd on the news tonight.
