Twilight Game Sunday August 26 vs Kangas

Apparently the AFL don't think the Kangas will make the 8 given this scheduling.

Hopefully we can prove them right!

I'm really not sure what difference it makes for any side as there is a bye week before the finals commence anyway.

Absolutely absurd.
There is no valid reason why R23 couldn't be fixtured back in November like the other 22 rounds.

Given the Bye before the finals the only logical reason is the AFL want to ensure there is a blockbuster rather than a fizzer on free to air on Fri and Sat nights.

But if that is their logic then they should schedule each and EVERY round six weeks beforehand.

Yeah that kinda sums up the year.

The lads will finish their warm down about 9pm, then they might as well get a kick start on Mad Monday and forget the horrible year

A few years ago we had the dwarf burning incident on mad Monday. What will happen this time? A tub of vanilla ice cream just melting in the sun?

That makes complete sense and you can see that idea growing legs in future AFL fixture planning of earlier rounds in the season to be floating.

4 weeks is obviously the amount of time needed before a floating round to bed down the planning and execute so you couldn't see floating rounds earlier than round 4 becoming floating.

I'm getting a sinking feeling.
