Greetings from Adelaide!
Dear God! That takeoff from Tullamarine cured the Jiggster's constipation! (Sphincter don't fail me now!)
Had a nice stroll around this very pretty city. A spot of lunch, and now just waiting for the rest of the gang to join me for the match.
Plenty of Sainters out and about, lots of smiles and cheery greetings! Gee I DO love going "on the road" with the Saints!
I go to the game with nothing other than a positive attitude. A firm belief that we can win, should we be good enough! AND a quiet determination NOT to "go quietly!"
GOSAINTSGOSAINTSGOSAINTSGOSAINTS!
Errrrrr go?

hope you brought all your
Druid paraphernalia
a small jar of dirt from HQ at Seaford blessed by Finnis and co
a vial of tears from Rooey
a piece of bandage worn by Harves on that famous day in Adelaide
a small marshmallow from Joey's kitchen pantry (to be burnt at the ground, to dispel all softness)
chant some incantations over the magical items 5 minutes before bounce-down

Be careful jigster. City might be pretty but it has also been the home of a number of mass murderers.thejiggingsaint wrote:Dear God! That takeoff from Tullamarine cured the Jiggster's constipation! (Sphincter don't fail me now!)

WOW! They have to be the most feral "supporters" I've had the misfortune to stand among ( and I've stood amongst the WORST!) had to involve security and the police at one stage. Last time the old Jiggster's gonna stand in THAT section !

Glad you made it out in one piece Jiggster. Hope some of the ferals left early and missed their win.

Congratulations to all Saints fans who made the trip over today. You must all feel shattered, but your support for the club is greatly appreciated. Safe trip home .

Re: Greetings from Adelaide!
Thanks SO much colleague! Apart from some Neanderthal Port followers who did their best to make us feel bad, the day was great. The pre game function was EXCELLENT! I managed to meet up with the Noddster (noddy04) which made my day!George27 wrote:Congratulations to all Saints fans who made the trip over today. Re: Greetings from Adelaide!
Sadly, at one stage I had to involve security and police with one group of Ferals. To be honest, my feelings are that the ENTIRE stadium should be seated. Far too easy to be picked on for wearing Saints colours in an area like "the Hill" Brave blokes; five or six, hefty guys in their late twenties/early thirties, drunk as skunks, picking on a 72 year old and two women! REALLY? Is that how SA fans want to be seen? Very disappointing.Trixilver wrote:Those Port fans on the hill were disgusting. Thankfully there weren't so many left at the siren.

Re: Greetings from Adelaide!
Mr Jiggly, that sort of redneck attitude is borne from having 2 teams in one town.thejiggingsaint wrote:Sadly, at one stage I had to involve security and police with one group of Ferals. I moved to Perth in 1998, and both Wet Coke and Shockers fans are worse than Carlton fans at Princes Park
(I went to dozens of games there, and they are worse than the Injector fans)
Being exposed to only 2 AFL teams breeds tunnel vision and abject hatred for anyone going for a Victorian team.
It's like - "How dare you cheer your team's goals? the cheek!"
It's all fostered by the local media, who paint the "us vs them" mentality of Perth teams vs the world.
Those in power want to channel the public's focus, and footy gives them that perfect vehicle.
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
