Re: Who comes in for Joey?
While i don't like players getting injured I'm glad we are forced into this position. About time players stop thinking about themselves waiting to play finals. Coaches need to have more balls and start bringing in the younger guys. Riewoldt needs to be rested for the next couple of weeks. I'm pretty certain Richardson wont play him against Port now that Membrey is coming back. If he's not injured then Rice should play also.
Posting 20 years of holey crap!

Re: Who comes in for Joey?
Weller was one of the best for Sandy yesterday and you would think he would come in for Joey.
Rice was OK but didn't knock the door down for senior selection.
I would think it would be Membery and Weller for Riewoldt and Joey.
The other one who was poor last night was Lonie but with Meatball injured will probably keep his spot.

Re: Who comes in for Joey?
White or rice need to come in for Monty - play same position and both are the future.
Membrey for Roo who clearly needs a week off.
Lonie must be under pressure from Weller as small forward.
Give Marshall another game.

We are in development mode.
Get White and Rice in and the Irish chap.
Farewell games for Roo and joey should be organised in advance to give the club a chance to do it properly

Definitely one of White or Rice for Joey.
Membrey for Roo.
Weller for Lonie. But I would rather see a young player come in for Lonie. Weller was not that impressive yesterday considering the opposition.

But surely after that hiding we should make more changes than one apart from injuries.

Re: Who comes in for Joey?
White has been in excellent form of late.
Rice's form was stronger earlier in the season. A few minor injuries have probably not helped him.
OUT
Joey inj.
Roo Managed
Lonie
IN
White
Membrey
Weller
However I would not mind at all if Rice is played for his debit game.
NoK is knock, knocking for selection to. But I suspect not this game. If we lose a few more he may be elevated.

Which is why I would retain Marshall over Roo this week and bring White or Rice in.

Re: Who comes in for Joey?
He played very sore and injured. The kid never plays with his socks up so I imagine he was hiding strapping of some sort. He's also a bull in the contest. Copped a boot to the face then a heavy tackle in the next 30 seconds.freely wrote:Is Rice up to it?
I know a few people have been talking him up on here - but he didn't look all that in the game I watched on TV yesterday.
Kids got a lot of heart and moves then ball well and plays with a lot of composure under pressure. Just had a rough start to his career with a couple of injuries and glandular fever.
