Re: Minchington
They strapped him up and sent him back out.
Duty of care, and all that
If he loses income because of injury that didn't have to be as bad as it was,
he can claim on the club experts sending him out again.

The 23-year-old is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeksausfatcat wrote:http://www.saints.com.au/news/2017-06-3 ... inchington
after sustaining the injury in Sandringham’s loss to Coburg at Trevor Barker Beach Oval in Round 10 of the VFL.
so why make him go back onto the ground after he hurt the ankle in the first qtr?
VFL Round 11 this week.
There's 19 rounds in the season.
and he's missing 8 weeks.
Sandy Surrender Monkeys are 11th, so finals not happening, season over for him

Re: Minchington
That's a joke. The club's medicos are as qualified as the recruiting staff. Minchy goes alright and the last thing he needs is to have career ankle problems like Daisy Thomas has had. Not a good sign to need surgery for ligament damage. Must have injured it pretty badly by going back on the field to play in a nothing game.

My, we do have some brain surgeons here! Probably just thought he'd rolled an ankle; happens to every player.
Saw him wearing a moon boot at Etihad last Sunday. He was in the Lego tent. More players than kids when I looked.

Re: Minchington
If he is out for eight weeks, who are we promoting in his place? Remember we are already one down in Dempster.

Rd 11 now in VFL
19 rounds in H & A season
He's due back in Rd 18.
It's effectively season over for the poor boy?
LTI rules let us promote 2 rookies? I think
