So the AFL makes an issue of Clubs not accessing Umpire info as to what rules they are going to focus on in the upcoming rounds
Do the AFL realise what amateurs such a comment makes them look?
Simply, rules are rules
So why would you focus on one rule in any given week?
Just a PR cover up by an administration a very long way out of their depth
What a joke the AFL is

Morons!
The rules should be the same every week, if you decide to change them, you tell the Clubs.

Yes, how about rule of the week be to follow ALL the rules.
It's why fans of every club despise the umpiring fraternity, inconsistent calls and consistently incompetent.

Re: What a joke the AFL is
The AFL react by banning the 3rd man up in ruck contests
Why?
In "The Age" yesterday there was a photo of 2 ruckman contesting - and they were draped over each other one with his arm over the shoulder of the other and both with their hands on the other
This is why the 3rd man up became a feature
Whilst the ruckman grappled with each other there was a perfect opportunity for a 3rd up to come over the top of them
So instead of addressing the fundamental problem of the rucks confirmed by the photo in "The Age" the AFL ban the 3rd up and leave the ricks to grapple with each other
Knee jerk nonsense by the AFL - again
If a ruckman is grabbing an opponent or draping his arms around and over his opponent or pushing his opponent from the contest with his hands then pay the free
Instead they pay a free if a ruckman takes his eye off the ball!
