Although Nick probably didn't get votes yesterday, his performance was most impressive.

He looked more athletic than I've ever notticed. Throughout the day he was in the backline, the forward line and across the middle. It's like we had an extra player on the field. He was running with the ease of a Ethopian distance runner.

The 'touched goal' in the 3rd quarter (I think) that the umpire refered was pivitol in the dynamic of the game, it was Roo's fingernail that saved us.

After yesterdays's performance he looks like he may have a couple more years in him as an athletic wingman.

Come to think of it, he's probably entitled to be considered All Australian on the wing.

I'm with you, Newman. Stuff Kernahan and Reynolds. Roo deserves to go past both of them. I believe Gary Dempsey holds the all time record for marks taken. Unlike Roo, he would drop a kick behind the play and pick up many uncontested marks. He was good, though. Not as good as Buckets who remains the greatest marking freak I've ever had the pleasure to watch. I think Loewe has Been under rated for way too long. 300+ games in the hardest positions of all. No one took more contested/pack marks as consistently as Buckets.
