Yes

Sloppy game (very cold)

Easy win against poor opposition. Kicks 17-20 to 9-3 so what should have been a 100pt hiding was 59 pts

Fischer from Sandy was bog IMO he took a number of good grabs and kicked a handful

Of the saints
Nick Coughlan was the best IMO
Usual suspects
Sinclair, Eli, NickO, Saunders, Murdoch all very solid or better
Zebs
Cook, Simpkin, TDL, Answerth, Le Grice - all excellent
White, Rice promising
Rucks had a good battle with Sikora and Post and won out.

Overall
They got the job done, but were not that impressive

Eli, Murdoch, Sinclair need a few senior games

Thanks BM. It is encouraging to see that the 2 new rookies this year- Nick C and NOK- again impressed. Hugh's injury, in conjunction with the struggles of our backs - opens the door for an elevation for Nick C to see what he's got at senior level. NOK was All Australian under 18 last year, and fought back after a bad injury this year. It was nice to see him get a chance down the line, to see if he can step up too.

There are whispers that White may soon get a go for the seniors. How do you reckon he'd go? Is he up for a senior debut?

White is a mile away from senior footy. I'd be surprised if he debuts next year (also rice)

He has loads of talent, but has a LOT to learn

And he has to physically develop

NickO would be the best placed to debut out of the group who's never played

Nick Coughlin is impressive

He does have the same problem as Tom Lee though

Whilst you can be a 90-92kg and 190-193cm defender in the VFL
Against
Undersized AFL listed forwards like Arryn Siposs or Hugh Sandilands
Big but average VFL Forward like Khan Haretuku or Jordan Lisle
Or young developing power forwards

But in the AFL there is nowhere to hide
You'll be face with a quality 193-200cm & 95-105kg seasoned opponent like Drew Petrie or Josh Jenkins or Jack Riewoldt

Coghlin is probably 6'4 at a stretch and maybe 90kgs

Pretty sure Murdoch broke his thumb in the first quarter. Had it taped and played a pretty good game. Guts personified!

How did Pierce play as, with McCartin's previous and current concussion, you would think he comes in this week again?

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Murdoch played well... Not sure you can play on with a broken thumb (I've broken both thumbs from footy and missed weeks both times) I suppose it depends on the extent. I had to have an op. Maybe Brodie had a small fracture?

Pierce played very well against Sikora (206cm 115kg) has been very impressive around the ground.
