He clearly doesn't metabolise alcohol very well. Maybe he has a disorder?
3 or 4 drinks over the night and blew 0.068 !

You dont win a flag with a team of choir boys. What sides like the Cats and Hawks have done well is allow for rough diamonds like Hodge and Stevie J to excel and mature together. Similar with us and Jack. Not everyone is the same. Thank god.

"3 or 4 drinks".
lol
How contrived was that interview last night?
I know it's the whole AFL world and it comes with the territory but the public shaming and the way these guys are treated like public property is disgusting.

Why wouldn't it be 3 or 4 drinks?

Geez Plug if Hodgey blew .068 after only having 3 or 4 drinks over the whole night something is clearly wrong. I suggest he should get his lawyer to request confirmation that the breathalyser is calibrated??plugger66 wrote:SaintPav wrote:"3 or 4 drinks".

Why don't you just say that in the first place.plugger66 wrote:derby Street wrote:Geez Plug if Hodgey blew .068 after only having 3 or 4 drinks over the whole night something is clearly wrong. Why does every conversation with you on here have to sound like a dialogue between a student wanting a serious debate and an arrogant teacher who ignores the issue and scolds the student on a technical point (“You didn’t formulate that correctly! You didn’t take that into account!)
Speaking to you on here reminds me of a dialogue between a victim of a serious crime who desperately want to reports what happened and a cop who continuously interrupts with requests for administrative details.

Pav You sound angry and by the way it wasn't me who initially mentioned 3 or 4 drinks. As for examples of how you think the conversation works well I think you are just using words for the sake of it because they make no sense with what I said.
I think there are many on here who want to give opinions, however stupid, and hate being challenged on them. Why go on a chat site if you get upset when challenged? And that is a general comment and not directed at you. By the way this is a topic I have experience at so I know who is and isn't lying ot telling fibs in this case.

Re: almost a saint in the news
3 or 4 pints is not the same as 3 or 4 drinks. It is probably about 8 drinks, which is a lot if you are a fit person and training. Even 3 or 4 stubbies is not 3 or 4 drinks. In fact, going by that, 0.06 is actually not too high - some people have been caught at .2.
I remember the 70s when people would drink all afternoon at barbecues and pubs and just drive home with their 4 kids in the car.

Re: almost a saint in the news
The media are treating Hodge like a saint.
If if happened at some clubs he would be a disgrace, but the Hawks and AFL spin doctors are treating him like an angel.
It was only a couple of weeks ago that Ratten's son was killed whilst driving with substance abuse.
It's offensive to me when Eddie says that he only had three drinks....more like 10 drinks.....just another example of propagander changing history.

Drink driving is unacceptable no matter what your profession.

Cant remember Steven hardly having much at all in the paper. And he was much higher than Hodge.
