I see Nathan Brown says Ross Lyon has his best chance with any of the teams he's had to win the flag this year.

Easy statement to make with the benefit of hindsight, but we looked pretty good for most of 2009.

Luke Ball looked as he wanted to say something, but didn't.

Lost 3 games, including the GF, by a total of 19 points. 13 if you dont count Geelongs dribble after the GF siren. Can't give yourselves a much better chance than that.

St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt says the spirit and belief from his club's comeback win over Western Bulldogs on Saturday will stay with the players for the rest of their careers.

The Saints stormed back from a 55-point deficit to beat the Bulldogs by seven points at Etihad Stadium with the win the fifth-biggest comeback in AFL-VFL history.

Essendon's 69-point comeback against North Melbourne in 2001 still tops the list.

Riewoldt said his side didn't know the extent of their comeback win until post-game.

"We were thinking 'just chip away, just chip away'," Riewoldt said on AFL Game Day on Sunday.
