I got ahead of myself after the Gold Coast win, so I won't jump the gun after a respectable loss. But yes, next week will be a good test, particularly against a local rival also in a rebuild phase.

I don't think he will play next week though, and our achilles heel is still our lack of goals. To only kick 11 goals and still nearly win was an awesome effort, but we would need to kick at least 16 goals at Etihad next week to stand a chance, and I don't see where our goals will come from.

Our problem is, and always has been, that our mids don't kick (enough) goals. I suspect Schneider will be dropped after the misses today, and Saad won't be recalled. I am dubious about the possibility of Nick returning; 3 weeks with a calf seems risky.
In the past season and a bit we have kicked 16 goals twice and fifteen goals twice, managing the century only twice. Can't see us matching the Bulldogs for scoring power on the back of that.
