Jack has really only played two full seasons while Mitchell is at the end and Selwood between the two. When we rise again Jack will be in a senior role and has scope for eliteness.

These players will form the backbone of a team for at least a decade - just like Mitchell and Selwood. We had this with Robert Harvey and then Lenny Hayes. Jack Billings (pick 3) is two sided. Luke Dunstan (18) and Blake Acres (19) are not. The best they can do is get out trouble with the other foot. And Sam Mitchell is easily the most valuable mid player in the comp. He is very much like Greg Williams. As slow as a wet week, but with enormous leg strength to enable him to stand his ground, spot the best available option and then execute with either left or right hand or foot. Goals come when he gets the ball.

Im not sure if you understand footy in 2014 but whilst its good to be two sided its also the most overated thing in footy. Not sure if james Hird ever kicked on his wrong foot and he could play a bit. Anyway nice topic from the guy who said jack Steven was the biggest dud ever to play for the Saints. Silly thread.
