It's all about Jack and no one else- not a team player.

Not unlike Nick sometimes when he gets all petulant.

Strangely I think Jack a good fit for us.

Interesting.

On one hand, we don't need another Riewoldt running the club. On the other, there's no question Jack is being underused at Richmond.

Methinks it's more likely Hardwick will get sacked for that reason, though. Senior players questioning the game plan is not a good look.

If Rooy was running the club then we would still have GT or RL as coach. I dont know where people get these ideas unless of course you have heard something i certainly havent.

Probably too late in Roos carrear, would have liked to have seen him a couple of seasons ago.

He is a fair bitmore petulant than his cuz, don't like the way he carries on, but he can play football. One thing he is right about is Hardwick really has no idea how to coach at AFL level

A no from me

This comment from Hardwick is just as stupid...“We caught up with him this morning and removed his foot from his mouth and my foot from his arse"
Not a professional reply.

Maybe Riewoldt meant that Hardwick can't coach.

P66, you can take things too literally when you choose to. I mean that N. Riewoldt has too many people (players and officials) in his thrall. It would be difficult to deny that he demands the ball even when he's triple teamed, that he throws hissy fits when the delivery isn't lace out (though his own delivery isn't crash hot), and that he earns a SC-straining salary for his trouble. All of which isn't to dispute that he's a great player.

Why, because his name is Riewoldt?

His comments yesterday confirm him as a loose cannon.
No wonder Richmond totally lack leadership.

Used to show flashes of brilliance on the field.
Now he just sooks through games because the forward line isn't totally focused round him anymore.

No - definitely don't want him.

The reason why Riewoldt N gets double and triple teamed is that opponents know that their own opponent is no threat.
A forward MUST be able to mark overhead to create a threat.
Billings has no height but every time we go to him, he threatens to score goals.
Stanley has height but opponents know he will often drop the mark and if he does the only way he is going to score a goal is by fluke.
That makes the decision to go to Riewoldt N easy.

The diference with Riewoldt J would be he is an extreme threat to goal.
He needs to be double teamed.

If we had Riewoldt N and Riewoldt J in the same forward line, providing they led in opposite directions, one of them is likely to be one on one with an opponent.
If not Billings will be free.

A definite yes especially as we have the possibility of him maybe wanting to join our club.
Very few players would even consider coming to St Kilda.

He's a goal hungry sook with a bad case of FIGJAM. Let him steer Richmond further down the road of mediocrity.

If we're going to go after a tall forward, I reckon someone in the ilk of Tom Hawkins would be the way to go.

Too right we should have taken him with pick no 9 in 2006.
David Armitage would have still have been available at 27 and we certainly never needed Brad Howard.

This one blunder probably cost the club at least two premierships.
I do NOT think I'm relatively happy with the use of that mid first round draft pick.

I would seriously consider it.
Sure hes not perfect but that's why he might be available.
Hes only 25. Has another 6 years in him and probably still maturing mentally.
Best years ahead of him imo.

Is he a free agent come end of season? If not, Richmond would want our first round pick + more for him. A big risk in terms of trading for him.

A goal kicking forward who is quick on the lead, can take a hanger and is good at ground level.
Is hungry to win and you'd feel comfortable having a set shot after the siren to win the game.

Can be seen as sooky, but in my eyes that's only because he is so passionate about winning.
Our captain has been accused of being sooky as well.

At only 25 and a dual Coleman medalist we would be stupid not to try, especially when we can lure the thought of playing with his cousin for a season.

Gets killed by Richmond, never find him on the lead, always say on his head or kicked over his head.

Don't know what hardwick was doing when he decided to play Jack more up the ground and Vickery closer to goal, just stupid.

I say get him, sit him in the square and tell him to play his natural game, none of these media bans or anything, just be himself and let his footy do the talking
