T-Shirt Tommy, one of the good ones.
P.S. Busted your guts tonight Sainters. It's a long road but it's the right road.

One of the greats.
A coach who loved his players and they played for him.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Re: Vale Tommy
What a character and legend, on and off the ground. He always cracked me up on the radio with his co-commentary, particularly when he'd say "That was just dumb! Dumb football!".
Always wished we got him as coach in the early 80s. Reckon he could straightened out some of the party boy shenanigans and brought some much needed discipline into the club.
RIP Tommy

Re: Vale Tommy
A true Australian lengend !
You'd be hard pressed to find anyone with a bad thing to say about him .
Saw him less than a year ago at a function .
Thought " hey there's tommy looking a million bucks in a suit , man there's one bloke who'll live to a hundred "
And just like that Far ken cancer .
Heard him talk a couple of times , If he had said " come on lets go do this ...." , I'd have been right behind him .
An inspirational character .
I doubt there be a dry eye in the crowd on saturday .
The tiges will eat the dee's alive for tommy .
Vale !

Re: Vale Tommy
My favourite non-St.Kilda footy person.
An absolute great of the game. Never a bad word about him or from him.
As good a role model as you could find.
R.I.P Tommy. You will be missed.

Give me one flag & I'll go to my grave a happy man.

"Every Day is a great day- You don't believe me- try missing one"
this is how I endeavour to view each day.... but he took it much further than I ever will
a great example of commitment to all he met.

Re: Vale Tommy
Has presented at Work many times as a guest speaker. Great man, quite inspirational actually... A bit of rhetoric but he genuinely believed in it.
Always asked the same question, "where are you from?"
Followed by someone who he knew from there...
Big chest
