The Lazy Peanut's Saints Season Preview

Post: # 1436955Post Roo12 »

Folks,

Read with interest the Lazy Peanut websites Saints season preview. Hard to disagree with a lot that is said but lets hope he's wrong. He seems like a Saints fan too, talk about a pessimist.

Cheers

His nickname says it all. A lazy peanut. Pfft. I prefer to wait until round six before making a call. We're in for a hard ride, but let's not throw the baby out with the bath water just yet.

wouldn't be much of a pre-season preview if he waited til rd6 to make a call

I haven't read any article or any post in this thread.

Totally pointless and, therefore, without point!

I agree with the peanut.
We hurtled toward a generational list cliff from 2007-2011 and then we drove off it.

A lot of people have written us off on the back of a very poor performance in the NAB challenge. I think we should be better than our NAB form suggests It is just hard to know where we will be in relation to others.

Loved to agree with that but why will we be better? One reason maybe it would be hard to be worse. I think its going to be a long year. Hopefully we find two or three very good players. the problem I think will be by the end of the year we will know a few guys just arent up to it. Thats what happens when most of your picks arent top 20.

Well Pluggs all of our picks this year were top 20. Let us hope that they work on continueing that trend, particularly for this year where we will probably have picks 1 and 19 if we finish bottom, in a strong draft.

Yes they were Barry but they wont really have a big impact and also its their first year so they arent under the pump. I was talking about 2nd to 4th year players. Some of those will be found out this year.

Sorry, I'll make a preseason call. The lazy peanut is just a peanut. I'll have a crack. We won't finish last.

Wonder if the lazy peanut is related to The Peanut who used to post here and run the "WestofMoorabbin" website?
(Probably not as The Peanut is anything but lazy!)

Not such a lazy peanut to write all of that. If I was to start a blog called the lazy peanut my review would read something like this...
Saints - nup. 18th.

Fair enough, you might be right. Who's going to finish below us, though?

Viewpoint: We're going to go better than most people think.

Rationale: I'm a hardcore Saints fan and see special things in our players others don't.

Objectivity rating: 1/10

Accuracy rating: 2.5/10

The Peanut has it just about right, folks.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

You may be right, but so what?

I'm happy for new posters to come and contribute. He/she seems genuine enough.

Agree. who cares. we lack new posters as it is. Couldnt care if he hates the saints as long as he is willing to have a reasonable discussion about our club.
