take your opportunities with strong hands and sure boots
http://www.saints.com.au/news/2013-04-1 ... t-to-debut
On hearing the news, Lee paid tribute to head coach Scott Watters for his guidance since joining the Saints.
"Since day one, Scott has shown a lot of faith in my ability and a lot of faith in the way I play football. Knowing that makes it easy to play for a coach," Lee told saints.com.au.
"He's kept me in line and kept me focused. I've got many people to thank for getting me to my first game but Scotty would be right up there on that list."
Wright echoed Lee's sentiments.
"It's pretty exciting and I've been pretty rapt since I was told the news. Mum and Dad are flying up to Canberra to watch it so that'll be pretty good," Wright said.
"I just want to play my role, gain respect from the boys and hopefully contribute to a win."
Watters said the pair were deserving of their spots in the team.
"Nathan and Tom have earned their selection with solid performances over the pre-season and through the NAB Cup. Nathan is a hard competitor, very good in a contest and has the capacity to provide some bounce out of the back half," Watters said.
"Tom is an emerging mobile tall forward with great hands who is really benefiting from working with Nick Riewoldt and Justin Koschitzke
."

Go Well Boys. I'm really enjoying the pace at which new players are being introduced. Give these guys as many games as possible with our old boys.

The experience they will get playing with the likes of all the guys that have been around during our strong years and played in the GFs will be invaluable.

The best thing those older guys can do for the club now.

Saw Lee play against Melbourne out a Narre Warren, he did well, except for his kicking for goal, should have had 4 goals.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

I've mortgaged my credibility on Tommy Lee by talking him up. I expect 13 goals on debut so he can live up to my hype. As for Wrighty, loved his highlight reel- I want at least 4 of those young Judd like bursts between players and mad pace. Go sons and break those Giants.

Dermott Brereton described Wright as being as hard as a cat's head, and Brad Johnson has seen plenty of him and rates him highly.

From what I saw of him against Sydney in the NAB Cup, he looks a natural, and don't be surprised if he gets up to Geary's level in a fairly short space of time.

I have my fingers crossed with Lee. He certainly has agility, but he doesn't appear to have a strong body at this stage. But then again, neither does Stanley, and he's doing okay.
