Yes, seems to be going all right doesn't he? I know he has his fans (are you reading this JJ), but what I saw of him in the NAB cup didn't really make me sit up and say "wow". Gets enough of it at VFL level, but how much of that output would translate over to AFL level? There's only one way to find out I guess, but I remain yet to be convinced.

How old is he?

Pie eating aside, any idea how he would go at AFL level?

needs more concrete for breakfast, steel for lunch & HTFU for dinner.

b.t.w I would like to see him get a game for the saints, keeps delivering at Sandy - lets reward that effort.

My opinion is he is very small and slow so IMO he will struggle but we dont have much choice but to find out. I doubt he will be the answer though.

Thanks for noting the blindingly obvious in case I missed it, but I was trying to get a feel from those that may have been lucky enough to see him regularly play at Sandy of where he's at right now? Doe he look like he could transition up a level succesfully? It's all a little bit of crystal ball gazing, but some of those capable of stepping up are more obvious than others..........

Thanks. That smacks a bit of being a clearance specialist, which given our current lack of mid rotations, may work in his favour. What's his disposal like?

No to bad at all in the VFL but because they have more time even blokes like CJ can look ok. I was really disappointed with his practice match form but he didnt get a huge run at all. Personnally I would give him another week at sandy and if he is good again and we have some guys struggling then he deseves a game.

I'm not sure he's the type we need. Armo, Dal, Lenny can all play the grunt mid role and he's a bit messy with his kicking. I would prefer Wright- outside runner with pace.

How would my mother go as a submarine captain? I can look a hundred players who look good at a certain levels and may or may not take the next step up. I saw Curran play a couple of times last year and he may prove OK, skills look good, got some dash and determination, but like all youngsters, he needs to keep working at it, and if he figures consistently in Sandy's best players, no doubt Watters should consider him for a senior game.

Doesn't he need to be promoted from the rookie list first?

I have noticed that the difference between clearance specialists in AFL to VFL, is that the VFL guys tend to just slap it on the boot as a hail mary...

In AFL this doesn't work because the efficiency of the opposition defence usually means this results in a turnover and a fast rebound... (think ledger, CJ etc)

my guess is that that he is a bit of a one trick pony, and this is why he hasn't been elevated....

he wouldn't be good enough to play right deep in the middle, and he doesn't really do much else.... (correct me if i am wrong)

although he can tag, so perhaps be better use than CJ?

I think we are keeping the LTI upgrade incase Jackson Ferguson gets his body right. We need to get some size on the field more than another mid. Otherwise someone like Shenton could play as a rebounding back man.

If that's what we're looking for then we should have picked up Marcus Marigliani, the guy is built like the proverbial brick shithouse.

He's due.

If he cant get a gig in this side at the moment then he never will.

Dragit . I figured with saints membership down we can muscle up and start a male strip review to raise extra dollars to pay for some new recruits.

Seriously I'm hoping he ends up a Sam Mitchell type. Short slow but bloody good.
A long shot I know but not impossible.
I feel he was played out of position in nab cup.
Like Mitchell hes a midfielder or nothing . Cant go back or fwd.

As a very astute observer pointed out, if TC can win the Sandy B&F, come out and be BOG, what does that say about the other Saints listed players at Sandy if TC cannot get a senior game? What more can the kid do?

Agreed, but one of those guys is 33, another is 29. And wouldn't it be good to have someone to do the grunt clearance work and release Dal with those silky skills to the outside work?
