I'm hurting as much as anyone, don't get me wrong there. But I was wondering. Is there a disco anywhere nearby?

Hey mate. What's that though? Accept losing?Junction Oval wrote:Supporters are simply beginning to accept reality - we are now "officially" in a Re-building phase.
Focus now more on effort, not on outcomes.

So the model of - the only way to rebuild is from the very bottom of the draft, we're going back to that? Or have we learnt from Sydney and Geelong?StNoodles wrote:What's the alternative?Quixote wrote:Hey mate. What's that though? I still don't see that sort of attitude as acceptable. Especially after 2 rounds.Junction Oval wrote:Love to win - whenever we can. It's not about throwing in the towel, just accepting that we will lose a few more than we will win this year. As long as the effort is there (unlike Melb), we can't be too critical of some losses, provided they are not blow-outs.
That's it Mart. Suck it up because we are going to lose the next 18 straight.BigMart wrote:Ah...
We must accept being mediocre.... Cool, good to know...
That's much better, because I was starting to get stressed about losing.... Now I know we can accept it ..... It's a whole lot better... And the knowledge that we'll win a flag in 5 years... Even better
Cool mate, and that's not a bad supporter view to take.Junction Oval wrote:Love to win - whenever we can. Let's hope that we take the Geelong approach and from what I can see, we are doing that. The days of intentionally bottoming out are well gone - supporters will not accept years at the bottom or you will see Membership disappear.

Then they can COME OUT and smash the other teams!
You know what I get really sick of… is this myth that our supporters are happy to lose and be on the bottom, but there are these wonderful other clubs that just refuse to drop out of the 8, their fans are just so strongly united that they will not accept a loss.BigMart wrote:I hope the club doesn't think the same way as the supporters.....
No I didn't… I was talking about the 'good' clubs who don't accept mediocrity… and never lose players to other clubs…BigMart wrote:You forgot to mention
Koschitzke,, Riewoldt, Ball, X.Clarke, Goddard

I hate losing. Even back in the eighties or around the Blight era when we sucked so hard a watermelon could have made it through a garden hose.
I still go into games demanding a win. If this mob ever rolls over and shows the moist bit like Melbourne, then I will turn on them.
Me too.Quixote wrote:bigred wrote:Never.

Good man.
