Nay for me based on my own experience of having Goddard's name on the back of my jumper. He has now buggered off and I've had to fork out another $120 for a new jumper.

Yay.
There's no reason not to do it, though one of the commenters on that article said:
"There are legal reasons why the AFL don't introduce it; once a player has their name on their guernsey, the player is entitled to a percentage of the profits generated by merchandise sales, advertising etc."
If the AFL has to give up a bit of revenue then I imagine it'll never happen...

hHeres also the issue of loss of Record sales. There are still those people who buy them for the numbers believe or not (even if its just to double check who that kid from the other team is whos playing out of his skin)bergholt wrote:Yay.

How will this work for the Demons?

I always liked buying the record and writing down the goals. At some point after it hit five bucks I realised how much cash I was wasting, given that I just had the numbers on my phone anyway.
