2013 the year of the Armo
Just wanted to pump up Armos tyres for a good show in the brownlow. He was only really a fringe player under Lyon and had plenty of naysayers on here but especially early on showed the reason we got him. I got the feeling from Woodrow that he was probably wanting out if Ross Lyon had stayed so may have had a stroke of luck there. He seems to have realised that he is capable of taking on games now.
I think he fits the Sainter K formula for a player who is there abouts but ready to explode, I'm ready to predict that Armo will step up to more consistent form and be an A grader in 2013.
There is lots to look forward to in 2013 Siposs and Steven are looking ominous too.

Re: 2013 the year of the Armo
I like Armo, I really want him to become our most important mid next year
Re: 2013 the year of the Armo
Heard that watters believes he has more in him, enough to get him up to the standard set by beams ths season. Needs to work hard on his ability to get to more conests and move his 25 touches games to 35+. Also if his running and spread improves he could become a good goal kicker.
Question, who will become our next number 1 midfielder? Armo? Steven? Ross?

Needs to do a lot of aerobic work over summer, as he is stills seems to run out of puff compared to the top bunch of mids/ onballers (same goes for Steven), though I think he will keep improving.

Will be a much better midfielder from 25-30 y.o. than from 20-25...
Nearing that tipping point now..
IMO will be contending for All Australian next year, this year as a semi break out year, next year as his explode out...
Needed time, encouragement and being played in the right position...

Re: 2013 the year of the Armo
a few years back i asked him for his autograph to put on my shirt and when i turned around and he seen his number he almost fell over! My mate and i both bought shirts that year and he got gilbo and i got armo and i proudly display it up on my wall and remind my mate that he got the wrong jumper every good game he has. Quiet achiever and a down right great bloke look forward to seeing him become a champion midfielder for our great club!!!

Scott actually said that on a footy show towards the end of the year, someone complimented Armo's year on the panel and he said he thinks he can give even more than that.Solar wrote:Heard that watters believes he has more in him, enough to get him up to the standard set by beams ths season.
