Any word on Stanley?
Word on SEN was he had a rib/lung injury and that is why we hadn't come back on.
Any more news?

Re: Any word on Stanley?
No but the fact that Scarlett continually does this BS is incredible.
I have seen him push players into a marking pack on a number of occasions.
It is an extremely dnagerous gutless act.
The AFl will reprimand a player for pushing another bloke, and 4 weeks for going for the ball, but allows Scarlett to continually purposefully push players into marking contests.
If Stanley is injured it is Scarletts fault.
But will the AFL do anyhting?

The AFL will do sweet stuff all about that piece of sub human trash Scarlett.
He has always been a gutless dog and will continue to be until the day he slinks off into retirement.

Re: Any word on Stanley?
Scarlett is a dark master at injuring a forward....has got away with it his whole career...occasionally gets a week when he hits someone...I'm constantly amazed how he gets away with it.

I said exactly the same thing at the time. Scarlett always does it. and no afl wont do anything unless he calls them a homo whilst he does itjoffaboy wrote:No but the fact that Scarlett continually does this BS is incredible.

Re: Any word on Stanley?
You get the whole AFL and media coming down on you like a ton of bricks for calling someone a f****** homo which hurt who? and then that turd does that and gets away scott free. There's something wrong here I think. c***!!!

Re: Any word on Stanley?
Yes very strange (or maybe not so strange with Harley there) that C7 when discussing it post game failed to ask the question of whether Scarlett will be looked at. Caused a collapsed lung and broken rib, should be a certainty to have a rest, but not a mention once they knew Rhys had a serious injury.

Would like to think its strange, but its Geelong, one of the love sides of the AFL. No wonder I hate them with a passion.desertsaint wrote:Yes very strange (or maybe not so strange with Harley there) that C7 when discussing it post game failed to ask the question of whether Scarlett will be looked at. Re: Any word on Stanley?
Sounds bad, poor kid.
Was the day he grew up though, taking that shot, brave as.
Hope the club makes a massive deal over it, and knowing how Watters behaved after Gears courage few weeks back, he will...

Why do I get the impression that Rhys will be the next Kosi.
And spend his career showing glimpses of brilliance between recovering from a succession of unfortunate injuries.

Re: Any word on Stanley?
It was a simple push in the back. Seriously do we really think anything more than a free was required. If we do the game is stuffed.
Re: Any word on Stanley?
Many have overated him for his height and speed. No doubt he can play, but at the big level. Still not sure.

Agree mate, Scarlett may be a dog but didnt think there was much in that other than a free. Without the push there is every chance the same thing could have happened.plugger66 wrote:It was a simple push in the back. Seriously do we really think anything more than a free was required. Re: Any word on Stanley?
To me :
a) Scarlett is a ordinary bloke on and off the field
b) despite that it was a small push and to me an unfortunate accident between 2 guys with eyes on the ball

Scans last night on St Kilda forward Rhys Stanley have cleared the 21-year-old of any structural damage.
Stanley was injured during a heavy clash in a marking contest with Geelong defender Tom Lonergan during the third quarter.
Rhys did not return after three-quarter time and went to Epworth Hospital at the conclusion of the game for scans.
His availability for next Saturday’s home game against Greater Western Sydney will be subject to further assessment during the week.

Re: Any word on Stanley?
This is great news for Rhys and the club if accurate. Another lengthy spell out of the game far from what Rhys needs ATM.

Re: Any word on Stanley?
We need to sign him up. He looks like he is a about to break through as a player.
Re: Any word on Stanley?
I see it as the moment he grew up.
Knew he had Scarlett behind him, Lonergan in front of him.
Was willing to be meat in the sandwich.
Knowing how Gearys courage earlier in the season was highlighted and made a big fuss of by Scott, I think Rhys will enjoy some attention this week.

I think he was signed up to a 3 year deal a few months back. He will emerge in the next few years as a very important big man for us.SaintWodonga wrote:We need to sign him up. He looks like he is a about to break through as a player.
