Beau Dowler
Would Beau Dowler be worth a look, he's had a bit of AFL experience and is a reasonable size.
I' m not sure what his forms been like in the VFL this year but I thought he showed a bit while he was with the Hawks.
Anyone got any thoughts ???

I'd rather be getting games into Siposs.

Re: Beau Dowler
Hasnt Dowler been playing FB and doing pretty well for Sandy? Not sure how Sippa comes into it. I would consider him for a rookie spot if nothing else presents itself during trade/draft period.SaintPav wrote:I'd rather be getting games into Siposs.

Rarely (if ever) listed in Sandy's best,
although, defenders are rarely recognised... perhaps its a VFL thing...

Been very very good this year. The "best" named after each game is load of crap. Tommy Walsh was named in there every week last year.paddy wrote:Rarely (if ever) listed in Sandy's best,

I though he was a forward so that's how he comes into it.St Ick wrote:Hasnt Dowler been playing FB and doing pretty well for Sandy? Not sure how Sippa comes into it. Re: Beau Dowler
Played majority down back but has gone forward in couple games and kicked few goals. Even had run in ruck on weekend!SaintPav wrote:I though he was a forward so that's how he comes into it.St Ick wrote:Hasnt Dowler been playing FB and doing pretty well for Sandy? Re: Beau Dowler
Fair enough but I meant in his days for the Hawks but I guess he kicked 11 goals from 16 games playing at full back.stkildathunda wrote:

Pelchen likes people called "Beau"gringo wrote:I think we might have got him in to have a look. Pelchen must have seen something in him.
Whether he can play or not is another question
Re: Beau Dowler
Pelchen would have been at the Hawks at the time that Dowler was recruited so I reckon he must have some confidence left in.

Re: Beau Dowler
Pelchen was also at the Hawks the time Beau Muston was recruited. Dowler should be judged on his VFL form. Is he tearing it up in the VFL ? See how finals pan out I guess.Old Mate wrote:Pelchen would have been at the Hawks at the time that Dowler was recruited so I reckon he must have some confidence left in.
I think Id much prefer we focus on getting sr games into Jackson Ferguson down back.

Re: Beau Dowler
I don't think he's the answer and I'd be very surprised if Watters & co would put him onto the main list. Perhaps he could come in as a mature aged rookie, but I doubt it. Best to look elsewhere. What about Markovich from the Bulldogs or Charlie Dixon from Gold Coast? Wouldn't cost us too much.

Jackson is being groomed as a CHB, we still need a big defender for the power forwardsCon Gorozidis wrote:Pelchen was also at the Hawks the time Beau Muston was recruited. Jack is being groomed as a key back. That could be CHB or FB. He played FB for most of the game last week. Dowler isnt good enough anywhere.

Markovich is rubbish and if we want to pick up a hack we might as well just develop our own and Dixon probably is in the Coasters best 22. He is really young hence his body breaks down a bit.
Will be a really good second ruck/forward.
Re: Beau Dowler
He has been good st Sandy this yr. I reckon it is very likely we will pick him up as a backup in the key back position, perhaps mature age rookie listed.
