In the back rule

Post: # 1250102Post |Andy| »

The in the back rule was devised to stop players taking advantage of another player's momentum in a marking contest.

Now in the back is being called for packs forming over a ball?!? Ridiculous..

Holding the ball is played sometimes if a player is tackled immediately even if there is no prior- see Armo. Then sometimes a player will pull the ball back in under themselves like Nathan Jones did several times and they ball it up? Why is there several interpretations and most are incorrect?
