Which most would assume would be the filth.

So we have to beat,

The Dogs
The Dees
The Cats
The Giants
And The Blues.

Beat all these guys and we should make the finals.

Lose any of these and we probably don't wanna be there anyway.

I have that North v Freo game as really impacting our season as well....

We can afford 1 more loss for the year - pies is it.

Lose to Cats/Blues (or melb, dogs, GWS etc) then really we are cannon fodder and I'll take a higher draft pick thanks...regardless of the experience that supposedly 1 finals flogging will give our kids...

Im still not completely convinced it shouldnt be about rewarding more kids now tbh....

I'd LOVE to see us make the eight and shake up September a wee bit! With the bonus of getting some finals experience for the younger guys. Having said that, it is a HUGE ask for us to be contenders for the flag (THIS season!) I'm enjoying the process of seeing the changes being made by Scott Watters and his coaching panel, and I believe that we are all going to be VERY glad to be Saints members come 2014-15 and beyond!!!! Keep the patience and loyalty, but mainly....KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!

Yeah agree with that - Ray for Gram to me is obvious now.....will be interesting to see if Watters has a tough call in him.

I think you're right - but I think we need 5 from 6 to make it but Freo has a reasonable run home and even if we do win that many, they could keep us out.
Freo has Port (away), WCE, Crows(away), Tigers (Home), North (away) and Melb (home) - 3 of those 6 should be wins and they would be a good chance in the Western Derby and against the Roos - so they may well win 4, and possibly 5, from 6.
It would be tough not making the finals as I think we aren't too bad - but would hurt more if Ross Lyin got the Dockers in at our expense.
Oh well, we've got to win our games first and see what plays out.

True actually for 7 clubs who don't win the flag.

How old are you? I'm assuming 30 or less?

Any final is a good one for our team. We were never really in the hunt for the flag this year.

All games are massive but if we lose game against Pies, Cats game will be huge...assuming we win the games we are expected to win...Blues game won't be easy either but hopefully they will be out of contention by then...It's still in our hands with 13 wins guaranteeing us a spot in the 8. Norf are now certainties IMO.

I can't see Essendon winning more than one more game (vs Carl). That puts them out. Their run is Haw, Adel, NM, Carl, Rich, Coll.

Geelong will struggle to win more than two more. That puts them out. Their run is Adel, Haw, WCE, Stk, WB, Syd.

Freo will win three more maximum. They've got PA, WCE, Adel, Rich, NM, Melb.

Carlton aren't in the running.

North have an easy run and should finish 6th.

Means that even if we dropped two games we'd still finish 7th.

Our good percentage is almost worth a game at the moment. And it should improve from here.

Winning 5 out of 6 will be extremely difficult regardless of the opposition considering that we have really struggled to win 2 in a row all season.
