Goose on Rooey??
Must say I'm excited about seeing Goose play against us for the first time.
Be great to see him line up on Rooey.
I reckon Roo will win out - but maybe not if it's wet?

Hope so
But it'll be Platfull.
Question is, who gets our 194cm 98kg wingman...... Actually, I think they'll struggle to hold our big Fwds, unless as predicted rain assists them

Maybe Goose is too slow, but he's a wise old man with a bit of knowledge about our boys. Must count a lot in his favour.

Re: Goose on Rooey??
Goose would beat Kosi. He's very strong in the air and positions himself well.
But I feel that Nick would run rings around Goose and Goose knows it.

One of the biggest losses our club ever had. I'm convinced that if Goose didn't break his leg that we would have at least one more flag on the wall. He was a huge part of the core group and a top guy to boot from what I undestand.

Re: Goose on Rooey??
There are very few players in the AFL with the motor to keep up with Roo.
Goose is not one of them.

I HOPE Goose plays on Roo.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Agree. Good on him for still being in the AFL after what happend to him. Speaks volumes of his character IMO.Cairnsman wrote:One of the biggest losses our club ever had. Re: Goose on Rooey??
Goose would be sensible enough to let Vossy know it would be a terrible match-up.

Re: Goose on Rooey??
I would hope Vossy is sensible enough to know.....
I have seen Goose play a half on Rroey.... Intra club at moorabbin, perhaps 05/06.
Roo kicked 4 in the first half.... Blake and Sam Fisher then played on him.... He kicked 5 or 6
I remember sitting near Terry Wallace who was watching, he was just shaking his head at nicks dominance...

Re: Goose on Rooey??
Goose would be better of playing on a slower player. I think goose would outplay Kosi significantly, better match. Goose had a mightly leap on him when he was younger, might be able to curtail kosi in the ruck as well if they try and shake the tag.

I can see Goose playing on Wilkes if he's forward.saintspremiers wrote:Must say I'm excited about seeing Goose play against us for the first time.
