Dean Laidley on SEN now (Sun 1PM)
Credit to players for carrying out tactics. Credit inparticular to NDS and Joey. After last week's review, saw we didn't execute changes since bye last week, did well vs Essendon. Relished chance of working with Saints older players who are very professional, re-invigorated. Credit to Milney for 250 games. Lenny spoke for 3-4 minutes about him before game. BJ- High hasn't been really high, but been very consistent. "Wright got one in first and BJ retaliated"???? Covered well for him. Coaches worked hard on ball movement patterns since coming in. Review at bye has tweaked it up a bit better. Played 3 talls most of year up forward, helped Roo with workload. Helping Roo to an outstanding year so far. Gets in 1.5 sessions per week with knees. Dempster really improved remarkably. Big Ben was pretty good, would like him to get his hands on the ball a bit more. Looking forward to getting more weight on him and another pre-season. Scotty done really, really well for first year coach. Done well in remoulding older guys and promoting youth.

Laidley spoke well. I have always had my doubts about him, but he seems to know/understand the tactical side of AFL football.
With his experience, he is probably a good mentor for Watters.
