How much you can change in 1 year

Post: # 1228045Post 3rd generation saint »

Do you remember the same game last year?
Everyone was kicking big scores against the Suns and we went up there and struggled to kick 10 goals against them and ground out a boring, unimpressive, dull, uninspirinf win of 4 goals.
Of course we heard there was dew and other things.
Yesterday, it rained, conditions probably not as good as last year, yet we kicked 20+ goals and won by 95 points.
What a difference a change in philosophy makes.

I thin we will havea better second half, than first half (touch wood on injuries) as I now believe that the players now how to deliver the Watters Gameplan

+ we will have more good players to chose from.

Schneider is a very smart attacking player....Fish back into our backline.....and Ben/Stanley back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and maybe Raph a chance as an attacking running defender /wingman.........

We now have say 26 genuine players for 22 spots.

Newnes (and maybe Siposs) out for : Ben, Stanley, Fisher, Ray, Geary

We should win every game with an extra 3 players on the ground
we could sneak on Cripps and Ledger as well

PLEASE stop disrespecting the MESSIAH (don't you know he won 19 straight and got us to consecutive GF's?)

Yes he did, but last year without guys like Silvangi etc as his back ups, we we're the most unwatchable team in the comp.
He changed his gameplan from 08-09 and 10, I believe the catalyst for that change was when Roo did his hamstring and he got addicted to ultra defensive soccer philosophy.
While I will thank RL for 09-10 and would have been forever grateful if we had actually won one, however, by the end of last season, I was tired of games where we barely kicked 12 goals a game and we're no longer a threat except to insomiacs.

It's definitely better to watch but if Freo take a spot in the 8 at the end of the year and we fall short the cries of we should have kept Ross will start again. Freo fans won't complain if he grinds out wins and they make the finals. Winners are grinners at the end of the day, let's gloat when we win the GF.

Wont be me.

Freo hardly ever kick more than 100 points in a game, just like us last year.

We will prob finish middle of the road like Freo, so big deal if they are a place or two above us.

We are watcheable. They are shyte.
